1 week 3 days out and I ate some crackers......IDIOT!!!
myrori replied to Hip's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When you get to eating meat, when you start centering your meals around protein you will HAVE RESTRICTION. You will be suprised how different solids feel. Now wrap your head around the end goal and get all the carbs out of the house! -
So there I was at work with a plain greek yogurt and no Torani Syrup to flavor it, so I start digging around and find a crystal light packet fruit punch flavor and pour it in...... I have to say IT WAS GOOD! I think I might just like it better than the Torani Syrup

Fat forever...what happens
myrori replied to treequeen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From the beggining, HAPPIER in life in General. Confidant. Trying all kinds of new things, bought a bike and got on never looked back. I find a hop in my step or swagger. I know look in the mirror instead of avoiding it. People pleaser , I am afraid it is ingrained in my essence, but starting to put me first. ENERGY! OMG tonight it is bad here so I did not get out to walk or bike so I found my self pushing several carts back into the store, AS A FAVOR TO ME! Making cup cakes, cleaning the house, serving the husband a dinner, planning for tomorrow, it is 930 I am I have been up since 5:00 and I am still going. I LIKE the few clothes I have. Miss being obese, never! I may actually be the person who puts on the bunny costume for the kids tomorrow. -
First I emptied my closet 2 days ago, literally empty. So today I decide to go rent a bike and take a bike ride to see how that feels since it has been over 20 years since I had been on one. I LOVED IT!!!!!!! I went 7 miles! Trouble is when I got back to the bike place I rewarded myself with a 400.00 bike! I said what the H E double tooth picks,, this is my reward for 96 pounds gone!

Surgery Complication Insurance
myrori replied to wannabethinn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your real cost in complications would be in the hospital charges, does his protection cover that? -

Here is the version on Dr OZ's website: Ingredients 1 cup cauliflower, grated 1/2 cup shredded light mozzarella cheese 1 egg 1 tsp oregano 2 tsp basil 2 tsp parsley 1/2 tsp fennel 1 green pepper 1 onion 1 tomato Garlic powder, to taste Directions Chop pepper, onion and tomato. Set aside. Steam the cauliflower, let it cool and then grate it. Combine grated cauliflower with the mozzarella and egg in a large bowl. Spray a circular or rectangular metal pan with cooking spray before spreading the dough evenly. Sprinkle the dough with fennel, oregano, parsley and basil. Add garlic powder. Bake at 450° F for 12-15 minutes. Remove the dough from the oven and sprinkle chopped green pepper, onion and tomato, as well as the remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Return the pizza to the oven. Turn the heat up to broil and leave in until the cheese has melted and the crust is crispy. i did not steam my cauliflower, I chopped it in the magic bullet, I also put a clove of garlic in the cauliflower. I did not add cheese till the end like the above recipe and I DID and WILL always use pizza sauce on it!

I JUST NEED SOMEONE TO LISTEN (PLEASE HELP)
myrori replied to lisa25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your Doctors office should have a list of support groups in your area, or check with the hospital you had the surgery at also. You can google support groups in your area as well as look at obsieityhelp.com. When I could not find one that worked for me in my area, I created one! As for the ticker, click on someone ones and it will take you to the site that makes them and then copy and paste the code it gives you to your profile by clicking on the area at the top that says "signed in as.............." and then chose my profile and then signatures and paste it there! -
I JUST NEED SOMEONE TO LISTEN (PLEASE HELP)
myrori replied to lisa25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lisa, I guess this strikes a cord with me because just hearing how he is acting reminds me of my ex husband. Not allowed to use the cars he pays for????? HELLO marriage is 50/50. I agree he is threatend, but his true nature is showing at his finest. I wish you the best Lisa, please get in a vsg support group and find some help with your marriage. -

I JUST NEED SOMEONE TO LISTEN (PLEASE HELP)
myrori replied to lisa25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First off, congrats and kudos to you for being strong enough to know what you want and going for it! Everything you describe ( as far as your stomach) is normal. I can't comment on the mashed potatoes as I have not had them since because I don't do carbs. As for your husband,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I have heard of being scared but not going with you or seeing you in the hospital? That is down right mean and uncaring. What if something had happened? Is he a big guy? I strongly suggest you get into a support group for VSG and that you see someone to evaluate your marriage. -
Sad State of affairs..............................
myrori posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I went to my closet to try on the last of what was hanging there and sadly not one thing is salvageable. I now own 2 pairs of jeans ( one pair is a hand me down from my 23 year old,yes that thrills the sh*t out of me), a pair of work out pants, one sweat shirt, 2 shirts, and one tshirt, my under ware drawer is in a much sadder state -
One year out - Life is good!
myrori replied to OldAv8tor's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thank you SO much for this post! I just printed it and I am giving it to my husband how is affraid of giving up food. I have been trying to tell him that you still enjoy and feel satisfied, but maybe coming from a guy he will believe it more? -
I am four months out and I feel pretty good when I eat just about anything. The trick for me is going slow and really listening for the full clue. It took about 3 months to get to where eating was just eathing and not having to put a lot of mental effort into. Still LOTs of gurgling and burping,, doc says that is for life (but it is not as loud as it use to be)

myrori posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well he did it, but he talked only about lap band I went to his web site and left a comment about he the fact he really owes it to the public to review the pros and cons off ALL WL surgeries! I feel his show today did a dis service to public. -

if you are approx 4 mo out... what does it look like for you?
myrori replied to fullhandsfullheart's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First off, I have lost 96 total,, 50 of that was pre op. So that is 46 pounds in 4 months, so yes that is still amazing. I was not complaining, rather I am expressing my frustration at the long stalls in between loss, and yes I thought it would go just a little quicker than it, or at least hoped. It is so frustrating to see the scale sit for 3 weeks at the same number when eating so little and exercising. -
I had 2 food dreams I clearly remember. The first was sometime after surgery,, I don't remember details except for plates of food coming at me. The second was about 10 days post op, I actually woke up making chewing motions with my mouth. It is our subconscious mouning the loss of food and the change. Think of it as one last plea from our brain to go back to to comfort of the past. Dreams are just one more way we work out our problems.

Where did you get your bottle?

myrori replied to fullhandsfullheart's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 4 months out and a slow (sore) loser also! I stalled for 6 weeks and have since lost in 2 or 3 pound increments with 3 or 4 weeks in between. I DEFINITELY do not eat any where near what I ever did ! I focus on Protein first. My typical day is as follows: B- Protein shake S- Greek yogurt L- chicken or tuna Dinner- chicken or protein shake. Average calories in a day 7-900 hundred. I am very frustrated at times, but I buckle down and see what I can do differently. I have added 30 to 45 minute walks now that the weather has gotten better in addition to Wii Step or Just Dance. The FAT HAS TO GO!
