Hi everyone, I'm new I will be banded on Nov. 15. I found C25K online I love it. I am so glad I found a group. There is an online group via C25k but I think I will fit in better with this group. I have been stuck on W3 for 2 weeks. The rain etc etc. I will be motivated to go out tomarrow and pick it up again. I hhave read that it doesn't matter how heavy you are so for those worried... screw um. Also, RICE is very important rest, ice, compresson, elevation. This will help when you feel pain. But never give up,,,,,I will try to live by those words. Looking forward to doing it with all of you.

Hi, I'm new will be banded on Nov. 15. Does anyone know the stats on excercising. Specifically, running and sit-ups, and also weight lifting. I have a very physical job and need to know when I can start to do these things safely. Any comments or advice. Thank You...

Sabrina, did you get an approval yet?I have Aetna as well. My insurance was submitted on Oct 7th after I have done all the stuff they required prior to authorization. I had such a no brainer case that my surgery was even scheduled because there was no reason for a denial. Until guess what...denied! Now I am under an appeal and keeping my fingers crossed that Aetna comes through. Good Luck!
Hi I have Aetna too. Let me tell you it was a nightmare. Not only did I jump through hoops and beyond but I hired a personal trainer for 9 months to boot. They still weren't satisfied. So, I called Aetna directly which I would suggest you do I was on the phone for 2 hours talking to the claims negociater person who decides. After practically crying on the phone she said she would review it and called me the next day with the approval. They are not easy.....I am 40 bmi but dont have all the other problems. If you didnt call already I would suggest you call them directly. They don't like to talk to the people they want to only talk to the doctors admin but if you push you can find the RN in claims. I hope this helps you...Good luck.:redface:

Hi, I plan on renting a 18 wheeler and pilling my fat clothes especially the one's with food marks on the front on a dirt road and driving over them, back and forth till the threads disapear. I think that would make me feel real special. lol.

It's official. My surgery is scheduled on November 12. I took 10 days off work. Still struggling with the white lies and ommisions around my surgery. I keep remembering wise Lap Band Talk advice. "you can't untell". I went to my first meeting with the surgeon on 8/23/10. I weighed 232 and today at the gym I weighed 224 before any official pre-op diet. Oh yay, I am so ready. I increased my work outs to 5 days a week. Swimming 2 days, cycling 2 days and walking 1-2 days. My secret fantasy is to do a triathalon before I turn 50 next year. I think I can do everything but the running now. Guess I'll check out Couch to 5 K. I'm surprisingly not scare and I feel really prepared thanks to this site and several BOOB blogs. For purposes of full disclosure, I will never use a smiley face in my posts, especially the animated ones. They remeind me of clowns and do I have issues with clowns. That's another post. LOL
Wow...I totally have issues with clowns...lol And I started the couch to 5K also I'm stuck on week 3 becasue of the rain and my couch lol.

Hi, I wanted to find people who were having surgery on Nov. 15, to inspire, chat and swap war stories. Nov. 1 is day 1 of liquid diet, butI wanted to start the no more coffee process today.
If your surgery is for Nov. 15 jump in an introduce yourself.
It took me almost 1 year of an extensive paper trail, but I finally made it. I have Aneta they are tough. I am excited. I am also worried at the same time. I like to gather as much info as possible so having a Nov. 15 group would be cool.
Thanks
