My name is Crystal.. I have been overweight all of my life. Obesity runs in my maternal family. I am an emotional eater. I have had quite a few things happen in my life to make me turn to the fridge. I have a job that does not require a lot of physical activity. Most of my hobbies are in-door activities. My decision to have this surgery was hard because I had to admit to myself that I needed a different type of help. I needed some type of intervention. I have lost weight multiple times, but it never stayed off. I think that my story is very similar to a lot of others. Once I admitted to myself that I needed a special type of help, I sought knowledge about the surgery and myself. I continue to find out things about myself tht are difficult to accept. This is a new lifestyle change for me. I am adjusting as best as I can.
