I am 50 yrs old and have been overweight since I had my first child. Have lost and gain more lbs than I care to talk about. Around April of 2010 I went to a group meeting that was held for people interest in weight loss surgery. Filled out my paper work, gave me insurance information and it took my insurance company around 3 week to call me. Told me of all the pre- requirements that I needed to do and to make a long store short, was approved around 9-1-10, saw the Dr. on 9-15-10 and had surgery on 9-28-10. I am three weeks out and doing great, so far no regrets. I live in Roswell, NM and had to travel to El Paso, TX (3 hr drive) to have this surgery and for the fills in the future. It is a pain, but that is how much I wanted to do this. I want to be healthy and fit for the second part of my life.
