I started looking into the surgery with the encouragement of my wife in early July 2010. I started having a hard time keeping up with my boys 2yrs and 3yrs and realized that I needed to finally get rid of the weight I have been trying to lose for years. After alot of internet research I attended a seminar @ the end of July. My first appointment was just before Labor Day and I started the process to get my lap band. I met my surgeon Oct 13 and got a call about a week later that my insurance was approved and that my surgery will be Nov 5. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I can't wait to lose this hippo on my back.
