I've been fighting weight much of my life. At 5'9" I weigh about 237. I think I would be healthy at about 160. Today I was told by the Dr. at my diet clinic that I am diabetic (was at risk because my brother has it, plus I had gestational diabetes about 20 years ago).
So, I wish to research the lapband option. Life shouldn't be this difficult. Weight is usually an emotional issue (mine certainly is) and it takes massive amounts of non-wavering discipline to loose a lot of weight. And, if you are already carrying a boatload of emotional baggage, and ongoing stress, the weight battle takes a back seat.
I'd like just one area of my life to be a little easier.
