I woke up one day and decided I was tired of being fat and wanted to make a positive step to do something about it. I looked online for lap-band procedures and found a doctor who did the procedure and started taking steps to being a better me. After having surgery, I have more gas pains then I have ever had in my entire life. After six months I woke up one day to the most extreme cramps and stomach pain I had a neighbor rush me to the hospital where I found out a had a hernia and my intestines were twisted and trying to come out my abdomen wall. The doctor told me this was a "volunteer" surgery. You don't have to have it. I told him, I can't walk, I can't eat, I can't drive, I am in to much pain that I can barely breathe and talk, how can this be a "voluntary surgeryThe next morning at 9am the Doctor told me I was good as new and ready to go home and cook, clean and take care of myself and my child. (Someone is crazy)! I thought I had been run over by a truck and back over by the same truck. I had two surgeries within six months and I was supposed to jump up out of bed and go home and cook and clean? My gas pains did stop for over a month, thank god! I thought this surgery was going to "fix" whatever was "broken" inside inside me. I was wrong. Here I am again less than two months since the hernia surgery and I have these horrible gas pains again! The only thing that makes me feel better is lying down and being very still. This is my story, I hope yours is better!
