Hi I recently had my lapband reviewed and am just starting the pureed stage, however i haven't felt any sort of restriction in what i eat or even when drinking is this normal after having the band reviewed?? i get my fill this coming friday and am worried that i haven't lost much weight even though i haven't eaten much but have drank lots

so i had a fill. I was told that they replaced my band with a bigger on so that is why i don't feel restriction at the moment, was also told that it would take more fluid into the band before i feel restriction. Dr Nottle put in 2.5 ml at my appointment and i feel a little restriction but still feel like i eat heaps i hope to start feeling some restriction soon after my next appointment which is in february as they are only open a few days up until then.

i found out mine had slipped as i wasn't loosing weight and have reflux only slightly but i get it more now. Not sure if it slipped before i fell pregnant or after. i had the barium swollow also and that showed that it had slipped not sure how much it had slipped though. i feel like i eat a lot some days and other days i don't eat much as i have reflux. I have booked in for the revision surgury on the 26th Novemeber so fingers crossed that it is easily fixed!

Hi Ive just been told that i need to get my lapband reviewed due to a slippage, has anyone else had to have it done. I had my band for just over 2 years and lost approx 22 kg but in that time i broke my ankle 4 months after then when that was healed and i was ok i found out i was pregnant. When i was 11 weeks pregnant we took the fuild out. Now my band has slipped and a bit nervious about going back in and starting all over again.

HI alycejo, i go to Peter Nottles rooms for my fills, he did my surgury August 08 and now will be doing my review as my band has slipped. i was just wondering how you go when your there do you have to wait very long as i seem to have to wait each time i go. is this the same for you? -
hi my private health is through Navy health, which i have has for years. So there isn't much of a wait for my review. As for the medicare provider number its a number your given on a reciept and it helps you get a refund when you take it to medicare i think. There should be one for the assistant the surgeon and the anasethetist. You would need to ask your surgeon or go into medicare and ask.

hi i was talking to my private health the other day as i need to have my band reviewed due to slippage, and they told me that as long as i have a medicare provider number they should be able to cover it, as it is a health issue or something along those lines. I'm not sure about other health insurances. i hope this helps in any way.
