    I JOGGED (NSV)

Prior to weight loss surgery, I could barely walk 5 minutes without stopping from the pain. I think the last time I actually tried jogging was with my mum when I was about 17, so like 11 years ago! And back then it was this Couch to 5k app so you would walk for a few mins, and then jog for 30 seconds and boy did that almost kill me off! Anyway, I was in the gym today on my lunch break, and I always do 20 mins of cardio on the treadmill after my weights workout. I do 5 minutes at a 12 incline, and then lower it by 4 every 5 mins, and increase the speed (hopefully that makes sense). So during the last 5 mins of cardio, the gym was empty, not a soul apart from me, so I decided to do something I was too scared to do with others there. I put the speed up so that I was jogging...full-blown jogging. At first I just expected my lungs to give out like they would previously, but they didn't...I was breathing fine, I was not in pain, and I realised I can do this! I did the last 5 minutes at that pace, and I left with only a little bit of a sweat on, and no pain in my legs or lungs. I just called my dad to tell him because I think this is perhaps the first time in this journey I have felt like I love my body, and I love what it is capable of. My NSV, that I didn't even know was on my NSV list ❤️

Hey ladies, I know we are all still winning. It's crazy we can get caught up in the every day monotony of life and think that oh this is not a win or this is just a regular day well today it decided to snow in Texas. We never get snow here really in this part of Texas. I got my ass up and went on a treadmill. I never work out on the treadmill. I always walk outside. That was a small win.

Ok, so my pre Op plan allows for free grazing on low carb veggies, salad items etc, and one serve of healthy fat per day. So rather than munch on celery orcarrot sticks (which I do also love) I thought why not make them into a faux wrap with Lettuce and avo. I only ate one with broth for lunch, but wow it was great! Anyone else getting a bit creative with their diet?

@SpartanMaker what an amazing journey! I actually loved reading all of that! I can completely understand you wanting to keep pushing with your fitness for the future-you! That is something that definitely weighs heavy on my mind! I really love the idea of you being a personal trainer with your background - it would give you these approachable edge that I feel some other PT's lack. Also if you offered online training that would be even better!

    Food - Keeping it interesting!

Yuck. Power outages are the pits. Your soup looks Delicious though. Glad you seem to be healing well and took the opportunity to make something else to try.

YESSSS!!!! I'm so happy for you! There is NOTHING like that feeling of having a capable body. All the walking at incline you've been doing really paid off for you so far. Next thing you know, you might get bitten by the running bug like i have and be training for a 5k, 10k or more! Remember, the vast majority of people that have lost weight and successfully kept it off for long periods of time are very active.

    Creature of Habit

@ShoppGirl I am being a good patient, and its hard! There are times when I'm thinking a lower body workout wouldn't hurt but like you said I do not want to pay for a revision so I wear my post op bra 23/7 only off when I shower. I don't bounce, workout, and lift anything over 10lbs. I will say that I have tried on all the things without the bra and man it can't come soon enough to taking these girls out for a stroll LOL I am trying to give myself leniency but its so hard! I am staying on track for the most part, I cut my calories down by a lot since I am not working out and it seems to be going well.

    Creature of Habit

Having recently had biopsies in my breasts and they tried to use bandages to create compression I am very aware of just how much our boobs juggle when we walk so I totally get why this could create an issue in your situation. You do not want to have to pay for a revision surgery so just do what your told. If your like I was with my implants, you will want to take them girls out for a stroll just as soon and as often as you can once your cleared to do so safely so I am not worried that your going to fall back into old habits. Give yourself a little leniency for the short time it takes to get back to your routine. I’m certain that your new look will be all the motivation you need to get back out the door and right back on track.

I tried my first bowl of oatmeal yesterday and only had two bites. I got so sick and threw up all day. I'm so afraid to eat. I've done well on liquids and did not deviate not one time. So I'm now so afraid to eat. Any suggestions on the puree stage I need help!!!! Sent from my SM-G781U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Steamed Egg Custard Recipe

I see a lot of people eating scrambled eggs in the purée phase. For me they felt too heavy in my new stomach, so I have started eating them like this instead. I make this in my pressure cooker, and it's ready in 7 minutes.
