You know I like labneh (& am getting too lazy to make my own every time) but I found this one this morning. Yes, truffle. Can’t wait to taste it (have to finish a tub of one with fennel first). Christmas may have come early. Yum!

So I have been reminding myself daily to engage my core, loosen my shoulders back etc and it is working slowly but surely - I am noticing less pain in my back now when actually standing correctly. I just need to keep reminding myself not to slouch! Thank you for the advice everyone!

Hello there. I haven't popped into BP in years. I was sleeved in 2012 and it changed my life. I saw your post and wanted to tell you that I had a breast reduction done in 2014 and it was the best decision ever! I love my new breasts (even 12 years later). They took 90 grams out of one and 10 out of the other to get them to match! I am also your height but I did wait until I had lost all my weight to have it. It was not a difficult surgery to recover from. Good luck! Queen of Crop

How is everyone else doing with the cravings post thanksgiving splurge (if you did a little too)? I am having a hard time with all the yumminess still in the fridge. I broke down and had a slice of cake last night and of course feel guilty today. It hasn’t affected my weight because I have also exercised a bit more I guess but I still feel like it’s junk my body doesn’t need

Last night I felt the need for a walk so even though it was -2c / 28f I decided to go around the block and post my Christmas cards. Didn't plan to post them until at the office next week (and they won't be collected by post any earlier) but it was great to get out for a 1.5km brisk walk. In the olden pre-op days I would have ignored the feeling and just stayed on the sofa with popcorn and tv. I had also earlier walked to and from the dentist, normally I would have taken a bus so that was another few km done in the day.

Changing my mind set and seeing **** for what it is today is my win. Knowing tomorrow is a new day and that there are 150 days until my birthday and now its time to set some goals. Actual goals, write them down type goals.

Fixed myself a snack: Spicy Halloumi and Zataar flatbread, which chili paste. Before: After: No idea of the calorie count 🤷‍♀️

Well if that’s is helping then that device that beeps and just reminds you whenever you slouching may help. Someone else mentioned it and it is one thing I’ve considered as well. To me that would be safer than a brace because that may or may not have been created by a doctor but to me is not ideal when created without even seeing each patient. My fear is that my situation is different and it may pull my body into an unnatural position because it doesn’t fit properly causing more harm. But the beeping thing just reminds you do whatever you are already doing more often which you say is helping. Let us know if you try something like that. I’m curious to know if it works.

Yea. For me whenever I have alot of carbs, I crave them for a few days so just be mindful of that and if that’s the case for you the only real way to get through it is to white knuckle it. One trick I did learn is to use my free foods from my preop diet such as pickles and sugar free popsicles to eat when I’m craving other things. May be one day of a few more calories still but it’s not nearly as bad as another day of high carb. Especially because that would only be followed by another day of the same. This is my first time having a lot of carbs with my revisions so hopefully this still works for me too

What a wonderful gift. I have her Baking Bible as an e-book. I agree straight forward easy to follow recipes (not that I bake any more ☹️). Prue talks down to everyone and o don’t like her superior upper class air that actually seems fake. Excessively pretentious. I don’t mind Alison but she can get a bit loud and over the top sometimes. But oh God yes the Aust Masterchef is appalling. Watched one episode when it began and said nope, never again. Did watch the final episode of last year’s season only because I was away with a friend and she loves it. I have no words and begged her to watch the UK version to see what it should really be like. An aunt lives it the Aust version & was very upset with my mum & I when we called it very poor copy of the original. She was adamant it began in Australia. Had to break it to her that the current UK show (with John & Greg which was when I started watching it) began in 2005 but had been around for years before that in a slightly different format. Gordon Ramsay in the face with a big cast iron frypan 🤣🤣🤣.
