mark me down as a cottage cheese lover. always have been. i like to eat it plain, with all kinds of fruit, and/or granola, nuts, seeds, honey. .... i also like it savoury: with black pepper, and/or cayenne, garlic/onion powder, more cheese, cured meats, bacon, anchovies, grilled veggies, balsamic vinegar....ha! (yes, you read that right: anchovies, lol!) i've also used it to substitute some/most of the cream cheese in cheesecakes quite successfully. lowers the calorie level and denseness of the result (but if you like new york style cheesecakes, doesn't really work...) anyway, i could go on and for my cottage cheese love (which i probably already did, ha!)... Cottage Cheese Forever!

    Food Before and After Photos

been on a sugar binge the last couple days. 1) yesterday's afternoon snack: 1 cup of silken tofu with 1 tbsp of maple syrup: 235 cals, ate it all (no dumping effects) 2) yesterday's dinner party's dessert: 64g NY cheesecake with 1 tbsp of salted egg yolk puree: 236 cals for it all, ate about ยฝ the cake, and all the yolk (dumping effect: fell asleep on couch for 45-60 mins and went to bed early to promptly fall asleep again) 2) todays first food of day (i was lazy AND hungry, ha!): 1 homemade oatmeal cookie my niece made and 1/2 an apple fritter: 265 cals, ate it all (dumping effect: tbd...) mr. always chastises me for eating sugar and asks me why i do it if i know i'll likely be put out of commission...my answer: because its DELICIOUS, and because i CAN (sort of, ha).

You've heard "cottage cheese" a lot, for me its been "Greek yogurt"! Between the dieticians and this forum I'm up to my eyeballs in hearing it! Every single time I spoke with the dieticians they mentioned it..you'd think they owned stock in Fage! I only use it as a replacement for sour cream since it tastes like sour cream and not yogurt to me since it has that sour cream bitter sour taste. I do like the pineapple " cottage cheese" although I keep it to a minimum... what with pineapple having lots of sugars!

I would never had had it pre-op as hate all cheeses but decided to try it a few months ago after seeing so many posts about it. I made banana bread using cottage cheese and it was lovely, I also made a chocolate pudding using it which was tasty. https://rachlmansfield.com/cottage-cheese-banana-bread/ ๐Ÿ˜‹

    Slow Cooker Recipes

I have made this a few times and really like it (without the pasta accompaniment) https://motivation.ie/recipes/dinner-recipes/smoked-paprika-goulash-motivation-recipe/ Some other ideas you might like (all of which I have tested and gone back to again and again); https://www.bariatricfoodcoach.com/lasagna-stew/ - I do not do the pre-slow cooker browning https://skinnyfitalicious.com/crockpot-chicken-shawarma/#recipe - Love, make using chicken breast cubes/strips https://bakingqueen74.co.uk/slow-cooker-spicy-bean-stew/ https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/spiced-carrot-lentil-soup - I don't do the pre-slow cooker step, just bang it all in the slow cooker. I do keep back one carrot though and add it in after blending but sill with about 30 minutes left on the cook so there are some soft bites, I also add a lot more chili but that is to my taste. https://www.bariatricfoodie.com/crockpot-curry-chicken/ - I skip step 1 https://www.bariatricfoodsource.com/blogs/bariatric-friendly-recipes/pureed-chicken-soup-bariatric-phase-3-soft-food - I just put all in the slow cooker and let it do its magic. I have added chili sometimes or other herbs. https://motivation.ie/recipes/lentil-soup-with-crispy-bacon/ - again I just put all the ingredients (skip the oil & bacon) into the slow cooker.

    Yoga Supplies and Tips Please

I love wall pushups. Been doing them for almost 2 years now almost every single day. I stand about 1 metre away from the wall (which is almost 2/3s of my height - lol!) and do 35 ordinary pushups & 35 with a clap. Should do more but I am ultimately lazy. I have distinct deltoids, triceps & biceps. Don't know how much stronger I actually am but my arms are toned which is what I wanted & not muscle bulk. My 14yr old competitive swimmer niece complemented me on my arms last week & was comparing them to hers. Iโ€™ll take that. Though she did point out theyโ€™d look better if I had the loose skin removed. Aah 14yrs olds, they give & they take away. ๐Ÿ˜‚

The first time I realised how much thinner my thighs were was when I sat down to paint my fingernails. Popped the nail polish bottle between my thighs like I always did and down it slipped right onto my rug. Thank gracious I hadnโ€™t opened it yet but I shockingly realised I couldnโ€™t use my thighs as a vice to hold anything any more. Oh & I canโ€™t balance my phone on my thigh anymore either. Just slides off.

Dr is great but his team is Not.

the SADI is a fairly new surgery and isn't very common - which is probably why the office staff isn't that well versed in it. Although if the surgeon is going to be offering that surgery, they really need to get the office staff up to snuff, because they're the people you're usually going to see when you're there as far as red, purple, yogurt, and fudgsicles, they're probably talking about the day or two before the surgery, and not the regular pre-op diet that many of us have to do for a week or two before the surgery. I've had about four surgeries, plus a couple of colonoscopies, and having a completely liquid diet for the day or two before with nothing red or purple is pretty standard with any procedure. They don't want anything in your G/I tract (that's why they say only liquids), and red and purple fluids look like blood on the equipment they use, so they tell you to avoid anything red or purple.
