I used this = https://rachlmansfield.com/cottage-cheese-banana-bread/#jump-to-recipe I made 'flour' by blending almonds, used agave instead of maple syrup and added in some chocolate chips. I got 18 servings out of it. I love the bread and I HATE cheese. I had not had cheese in about 30 years but kept seeing online about cottage cheese being used in so many ways now and how you can't taste it so I gave it a chance and made the bread, plus a chocolate cheese mousse that was on the same site. Safe to say I am an convert now and actually bought a bread baking tin, plus more cheese today.

    Update! How is everyone?

Knew all these - watch too much American tv I think 😂. Don’t believe 3/4 of the Aussie slang people stereotypically think we use like I’ve never said gidday to anyone or called anyone a cobber (a friend). Most aren’t commonly used at all or haven’t really been in use for a long time. Many words are abbreviations or shortened forms of words - we’re great at doing that. Like cossie is short for swimming costume. In general, we’re more English in our vocabulary (& spelling). Except the young ones are adopting more & more Americanisms.

    An Up And Down Week

Stalls are literally the worst 😂 I am trying to keep that same mindset - once my body has recalibrated, it'll go back to losing, but the devil side of my brain is telling me: "weigh yourself after a bowel movement" 😂 Send help 💀

    Update! How is everyone?

I had seen something similar to this but using a coin and an elastic band.

this is more a response to what you said rather than the general focus of the post, but I just wanted to say that when I weighed 170ish and told my clinic's dietitian that I wanted to try to get down to 150 (which at 5'6" is within the normal BMI range), she told me that was a bit unrealistic because only about 10% of their patients make it to a normal BMI. The rest end up in the "overweight" or "stage 1 obese" (which is not very obese) categories. Research actually does back that up (I checked). I DID actually make it down to 150 - well actually down into the 130s. But at nine years out, I'm now slightly "overweight". But that's where they wanted and expected me to end up anyway, so I guess I'm OK with that (I'd still like to be around 150 +/- though - but it's hard to lose weight when you're pretty close to a normal BMI!

If something can't be eaten fresh/as is or cooked in my slow cooker I tend to avoid. I use my slow cooker for just about everything though I do make a delicious bread/cake from cottage cheese and bananas.

Well you really do have to lot your calories if you have not done that (and measure things- don’t just eyeball it (because you would be surprised how little the portions look that we actually need after years of feeding an obese body and don’t go by what others think because they are used to seeing you eat so much more so it’s just as much of an adjustment for them as it is for you BUT, if you have tied all that, don’t just give uP, you’ve still got options

    An Up And Down Week

I weigh myself everyday more or less, always have done when trying to lose weight. I can’t say I go off the rails when the scales don’t show me what I’m hoping for whereas I know other people may be adversely affected so it’s all down to personal choice. As to when I weigh - post-bathroom/pre-food & drink 🙂 I don’t think it really matters as long as you are consistent with when you weigh yourself. I’ve known of people weighing in the evening just before bed 🤷‍♀️ I think we all have our own little quirks and habits 😉
