OMG OMG OMG I DID IT!!!!!!!

Perhaps, but you are entitled to believe what you believe and their getting upset is on them..we all have our own feelings and are entitled to them ..we're all different and should all be willing to let everyone feel the way they do....but I understand - time and place thing!

OMG OMG OMG I DID IT!!!!!!!

LOL thank you. I just don't want to start any political (or religious, for that matter) debates in here. I know my particular political leanings can be viewed as controversial to some, and I want this to continue to be a safe space without the issues politics can, and usually does, bring. But I like that you liked my views

    18th June surgery date.

I would assume that your medical team will provide you with the stages they would like you to go through. everyone one here were given widely differing sets of instructions post op, so it may get a little confusing with all the differing accounts. best to pick one program (easiest one would be the one provided by your team) and follow that. remember they are guidelines, so if you are unable to do a stage or meet a goal or have issues, do something else. don't force it. and get in touch with your team with that said, here was mine (almost 5 years ago): week 1: clear liquids week 2-3: full liquids week 4: purees (i skipped this one, i just did full liquids for another week because purees were YUCK! lol week 5-6: minced ...after that i was cleared for everything/anything (just reminded to chew alot).

my B12 is always above 1000 (I'm nine years out). My team never said anything until it once read over 2000. At that point, they just said to cut down on my supplements a bit. High B12 is pretty common with us and not really an issue. I've heard some WLS patients say that feel better when it's above 1000. High vitamin D would be more of an issue since it's a fat-soluble vitamin (the B's are water-soluble so not usually toxic when they get high). 119 isn't that much above normal range, though, so they may just let it go for now - but worst case scenario, they'll just have you cut back on your supplementation.

When I first read this at the end of April, I laughed thinking there's NO WAY I'll ever fit into a 36" waist, never mind a 34". I recently bought a pair of shorts at a thrift store (I don't want to spend a fortune on new clothes while I'm still losing and it's tough to beat $6 for a pair of shorts that only need to get me through this summer) that are indeed a 36" waist. Stepping on the scale for a second, I broke the century mark a couple of days ago; I'm down 102 lbs since my September RNY, so maybe you're right, though while my head says not a chance, my clothes are telling me otherwise.

Hey Ashley, are you a gym member? I would assume most gyms have a trainer that you can get started with. The hospital that I had my surgery at has multiple support groups and some are done through zoom. Try contacting a local hospital that offers weight loss and see if you can join their groups.

I am sure the good people on here will help you out with finding a group. Lots of us have used this forum to chat and find advice. Its a wonderful group, we have all be through it and between us have had every problem going related to the surgery and recovery.

    Anyone willing...

Thanks for sharing. In a little over a week I'll undergo a 360 with a breast lift and implants and these are very encouraging. I admit to being afraid of the pain too, but everyone has said that it's worth it. I figure if they could do it, so can I.
