had a double header of hot yoga then pilates this morning. i was STARVING afterwards, but then a class friend asked me out for coffee. so of course u went cuz i love coffee and chats on a patio on a lovely day. finally got home at 3pm and realized i wasn't hungry anymore. now i cant believe that my earlier hunger was head hunger because other than water and 2 coffees my stomach was empty! fixed myself this avocado-cucumber-tomato-chicken salad thing cuz i knew i needed to eat SOMETHING, but didn't get very far. ate less than ½ and called it quits. not sure what my body is trying to tell me... anyway, its almost 5pm and im probably only at about 250 calories today...lets see if i feel hungry later...🤷🏻♀️ -

Breakfast bagel: This keto bagel was drier than I remember so it took me 35 mins to eat it. I usually don’t eat anything for that long (I give up from boredom) but I wanted to actually eat a real meal at an appropriate time today. Last night my BF asked if I was on my cycle already because I was eating jalapeño kettle chips at 11pm 🤣. The problem was I delayed breakfast to 2pm because I was busy and it extended my meals late into the night… so no more of that! -

Indoor or Outdoor Exercise
BeanitoDiego reacted to SleeveToBypass2023 for a post in a topic
I do both. I take long walks up hills and around a lake and even up rocky paths to the waterfall. You can't beat a beautiful breeze, nature, water, it's fantastic. Indoors is more for my actual working out. Weights, core and strength training, etc... 2 totally different beasts that do different things. -

Or google the dosage (you’ll get side effects, contraindications, etc. too) at least until you get definitive advice from your surgeon. Doubt they would be advising you to take a higher dose more often than directed. This may be helpful: https://www.empr.com/drug/zoloft-oral-solution/#:~:text=Zoloft Oral Solution Generic Name %26 Formulations&text=Sertraline (as HCl) 20mg%2F,%2C lemonade%2C or orange juice. -

FMLA is granted by your employer, but the doctor is the one who says when you can return to work and if they say two weeks, your employer only legally has to hold your job for two weeks. Like I said, I did a lot of research prior to taking leave and saw some went back as soon as 2 days after their surgery, others took the full 6 weeks, but the most common leave time was 2-6. Given that timeline and my previous experience w/ surgery, I expected 4 weeks would be the best situation for me. I am not sure there should be a "standard" for these surgeries. Most of us are very obese and have varying comorbid conditions. I'm not saying that some people cannot return at 2 weeks (or even sooner), but this should be a private conversation that takes place between a patient and their provider and should be customized to the specific patient and their needs. The door to conversation about this should not be slammed on the patient. -

If you can't find the instructions for the liquid, call the pharmacy or the doctor's office. Easiest way to find out how the doctor wants you to take it. -

Head hunger/food noise
SleeveToBypass2023 reacted to Erin18 for a post in a topic
I think mine is from being bored. It's hard when you don't have a car currently or else I'd go to the gym or somewhere to walk (my road is a busy one and have no sidewalks). I give into the noise most of the time and I feel really bad about it. I know im not really hungry, I know I don't need it, I just want it to want it. I need to stop or ill be back where I started and I fear that extremely! I'm going to try to listen more closely and ask myself those questions..."am I actually hungry?" "Am I bored?" "Why do you need it?" Give myself the 30 minutes to go do something. Allow myself to only have 3 meals a day and at least 2 snacks -

What does a typical day of eating and acitivity look like to you?
learn2cook reacted to Spinoza for a post in a topic
I am almost two and a half years post sleeve. At your stage I was eating around 800 calories I think, but if I've learned anything it's that we're all totally different! Well into maintenance, my typical day is: Breakfast: full cream milk latte. I have never eaten breakfast at breakfast time and never will. Mid morning: one or two fried or scrambled eggs, depending on how hungry I am. Generally one. Lunch: a salad with some protein (last night's dinner meat, tinned tuna or deli meat - sometimes cheese). Or more often soup - usually homemade and usually with either chicken or pulses for protein. Or occasionally, if I'm feeling really lazy and can take the sugar hit, 100g tinned baked beans with cheese and hot sauce. Snacks, probably three a day at this point: cheese (and usually a couple of crackers with that); 150mls [approx] full cream milk kefir or a kefir yoghurt; nuts (30g approx); seeds (20g probably); deli meat; fruit (I eat at least one portion of berries or an apple every day). I tend to keep lots of meat snacks in the fridge as they're filling and help me reach my protein goal. Dinner: whatever I've cooked for everyone else but without the carb element, or just a tiny bit. Basically protein and veg - in that order. But that includes fried chicken, bolognese, casseroles, sausages, roast dinners, fish pie (no potato topping) - everything I used to eat before my sleeve. Supper: I do most of my carb intake here. Toast and butter, porridge (oatmeal to you lot) with stewed fruit, crackers with butter (or cheese if I haven't cheesed out by then). Exercise: I do a 1 hour aerobic exercise class 3 days a week. I walk between 2 and 4 miles every day and I jog about a mile once or twice a week instead of walking. I am still amazed by what my new body can do. I probably should do more. This is my diet 90% of the time. I have lots of days when I stray badly off the path and eat chips (crisps) and occasionally chocolate. I also drink wine every weekend, which I accept is totally empty calories with no nutritional value. I just track everything and try to adjust if I can. I've had a couple of regains of a few pounds now (4ish), but so far I've been able to jump on those, ditch the rubbish (carbs mainly), up my exercise and get back to 140 or thereabouts. It's no problem at all - a couple of weeks of being more vigilant about what goes into my mouth and a few runs instead of walks. I really hope I can keep doing that. I may have to accept that my set weight is higher than 140 but I am loving it here! -

I'm transitioning to maintenance phase, so I don't have a typical day nailed down yet. But I aim for at least 80g of protein, and usually end up getting 90-100g. My activity level is quite high with at least 60 minutes of exercise or training every day. Swimming, yoga, HIIT, walking or jogging with my PupTart, dynamic stretching, PT for the hurty bits, and strength conditioning are my primary activities. All of that training allows me to go hiking, bicycling, backcountry camping, snorkeling, and SCUBA diving. I love being active and hope to keep it up for a loooong time 😁 -

50 and over crowd?

There are a few ancients on here. I was 62. I had a few issues with the surgery early on. My scars always swell and my internal stitch line was no different. It took a while for the swelling to go down so that I could eat again. I lost slow but continually for two years until I had found a weight that pleased me. I then increased my calories to stabilise and its working. I have massive amounts of loose skin. At my age the elasticity went years ago. This seems to be the only issue for older patients.
