We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary (time flies) last week and we snapped some photos before going out for lunch at a Brazilian steakhouse here in Kuala Lumpur. Right is me on our wedding day (I was around 130 kg then) and left is me now (74.5 kg). My wife said we should take new wedding photos for fun.

Okay that’s it. Our friendship is over. How can you not like tomato based soups??? 😱 I love all soups as you know but my favourite soup since a child has been tomato. Tomato with lentils, with white beans, using fresh, roasted, or tinned tomatoes, … I’d very happily eat A’s minestrone except for the pasta of course. Mmm now I might make a pastaless minestrone this week (though is it still minestrone without pasta??) 😁😁😁

Yes, the croissant looks a bit battered. It didn't like being crammed together with the rolls.

    Snacks

Arabesque the roasted fava/chick peas as a snack? I’m guessing the peanut paste is peanut butter? And what is Labneh? I’ll admit I’m not the most adventurous or knowledgeable about foods and I’m very unfamiliar with foods abroad bc even when I travel I’m reluctant to eat a lot of things

    Exhaustion 2 months post surgery

Thank you both for these suggestions, I do recall at my 1 month followup that my hemoglobin was low, the surgeon said that she wasn't worried at that time but I think your suggestion for labs is very appropriate. I am allowed carbs I usually have a netzero tortilla but I will try the oatmeal. I am low on proteins, the surgeon did suggest 75 grams at this point, I will also work to get those in. Perhaps I will use some protein water to add some additional protein. I hope that you all have a great day, and thank you again for your suggestions and guidence.

I missed pumpkin pie and all the pumpkin pie flavored things when I lived in New Zealand. They have pumpkin in everything but it is all savory foods, not sweet. Boggled my mind because their pumpkins are sooooo good and make amazing pies! But no one eats sweet pumpkin stuff. LOL I keep thinking maybe one day it'll catch on with the American food trend (they have actual bbq places there now!). But that's probably wishful thinking. 😂

Not quite sure the spices, but it's best described as a pumpkin pie flavor: Pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. Complete with whipped cream.

It was for me today. It's not something I plan to eat regularly after WLS. I read the label. 30g carbs/12g of it is sugar. Wasn't a good choice but so are a lot of other things posted to this thread. LOL My nutritionist encouraged me to eat carbs pre-op and it was really tough for me to shift from my Keto mentality to 45g of carbs daily. But I lost 22 pounds before WLS in those 3 months. In a few weeks I'm supposed to up my carbs to 60g. I usually sweeten food with Stevia so today was a one off.

OMG that pumpkin **** latte has 50g of sugar 😱 That’s double the daily recommended intake of sugar for an adult. It’s funny how that is so horrifying now but before it wouldn’t even have been a consideration. What actually is in pumpkin spice? We don’t have it here. Is it just cinnamon & nutmeg?
