    Snacks

Protein bars that are low in sugar. Some are like candy bars so read the labels! I like Pure Protein bars that I get at Walmart. Amazon too. Great flavors. Only problem is long list of artificial ingredients. RX bars have more sugar, but better ingredients I also like certain low sugar yogurts such as Oikos Triple Zero, Ratio with 25 grams of protein and Skyyr Icelandic yogurt made by a couple different brands. Also, boiled eggs, cottage cheese and cheese sticks are good. Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk

My scale is slowing down again... so being a U Tube junkie, I found this 10 minute video that explains why what the scale says isn't that important. It's worth a watch ! She gives a good , simple explanation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2oBp1GuwMY

    No Energy Brain Fog

You've given me some hope. I managed to find some protein powder thats made with stevia and not the joint inflaming aspertame or sucralose. Cost an arm and a leg but I'm at least starting to feel better. Nana naps 3 times a day for me but today I've decided to get my butt out of the recliner and make some crafts. It's only 6 am so we'll see how that goes. Can't wait to drop this weight and watch my grandson play some football.

My journey til surgery was 5 months I didn’t see my surgeon until I had completed all requirements of Medicare. started March 31st had 4 weight ins at my pcp office, a psych eval, a dietitian eval. An orientation at the local hospital. And 2 support meetings. Within 30 days I needed full blood panel, and 2 years of medical history provided by my pcp and a letter of medical clearance. Met with Doctors team leader 1st.. then 5 days later meet with the Doctor on a Tues Aug 8th Asked if fast track was ok … why yes it is. Scheduled me for the following Thursday, August 17. started my liquid diet the next day. I was his last for the day because Medicare required me to stay overnight, everything went great. I’m a week out and started soft food today. Hw 219.5 / Sw 202 / Cw 195.5 / Gw 140 I’m almost 67 and 5’ 2.5”

    Exhaustion 2 months post surgery

I was at first but not by two months out. Definitely see your doctor. It could be you need to beef up on some vitamins/supplements - but labs will tell you that. Also, your protein level seems really low for being that far out. We were supposed to get at least 60 grams - but then, I know different clinics have different requirements, so if yours says you just need 30-50 grams, then there's that... being low in iron or B12 can cause tiredness - but again, see a doctor before increasing supplements - getting too much of some of them can be problematic, too.

    August 2023 Surgery Buddies!

Seriously! I thought there was something wrong with me, too! I have been cold since my surgery in 8/17. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

My program required me to meet with a psychologist that I had never seen before, for all of 30 minutes, for my final approval. It sounds like you are working very hard on yourself! Sorry to hear that this is a bump in the road for you, but I am positive that if you keep persevering, you will get your clearance.

    What Made You Smile Today?

If you need a good tv show that will have you laughing, especially if you are an 80’s girl- watch Derry Girls on Netflix.
