    Chickpea Pasta

All of the veggie pastas i looked at in the pasta aisle at my grocery store are loaded with carbs. I passed on them all and decided to buy a spaghetti squash, and a frozen bag of zoodles to keep on hand for a last minute easy dinner.

Abusers (emotional, physical or both) lacking control of their own lives, target people with low self-esteem to feed their need to feel power over another. As you lose weight and gain more self-confidence, he will feel he is losing control over you and the mental abuse will escalate. He will sabotage your journey at every turn fearing you may realize you have better options! What exactly is he bringing to "the table"? It appears you are completely supporting this man and providing a roof over his head for the meager price of cleaning and dinner on the table. A lazy man is bad enough but a lazy, abusive man is nothing more than a parasitic piece of trash. You deserve so much better.

Not going to lie. . this scares me a bit

bowel obstruction is a potential complication, but it's a rare one. On top of that, she had abdominal pain for MONTHS, and didn't see a doctor about it. Who goes for months with unexplained abdominal pain and doesn't see someone about it? If she had, she'd still be alive. My mother-in-law had two bowel obstructions (she's NOT a WLS patient). In one case, they cleared it out (since it was possible to do that), in the other, they had to do a small resection of the affected part (because it couldn't be cleared out). Lisa Marie should have seen a doctor about it. It's sad that she never did, because she didn't have to die.

    So so angry!!!!!

I had raging GERD pre-surgery, and while the GERD has pretty much gone post-op, I'm so prone to developing ulcers that I'm still on 40mg of Pantoprazole almost two years out. The plan was for me to wean off Pantoprazole, but when I do, I get a fresh ulcer. I have a pooling of bile in the bottom of what's left of my stomach, which I suspect is at least contributing to it (and I still get "gallstone attacks" despite no longer having a gallbladder). Unfortunately, it's not a sure thing that a bypass will cure GERD, which sucks. 100% feel for you. It's just relentless complications. Hope your surgeon has some idea.

4 yrs post VSG to RNY

I take a multivitamin and calcium regularly (not everyday if I am being honest because sometimes I forget) I add everything else periodically because I can usually feel when I need something like more b12/iron/Vit D. They are either small tablets or some version of a chewable. My plan didn’t require that I stay away from bread products and I despise soft breads so I didn’t have an issue tolerating the types I liked. Since your plan does ask for you to avoid it, I would. I still don’t chew gum, eat popcorn or drink carbonated beverages because those were in my original instructions 6 yrs ago. Abstaining for now won’t hurt you. Revisit the conversation with your surgeon at your 6 month follow up. Congrats on the revision

    TMI WARNING: Bowel Movement

I had terrible diarrhea and it was almost black color, too .I had it in the hospital and the nurses weren't concerned. Turns out ,it's a natural reaction to all the work that they did inside of you . If black-ish stool continues after you're home , chances are it's from all those vitamins you're taking. My dietician told me that.

    No Loose Skin

As long as it's not causing any rashes or skin infections, it's not harmful.

If your plan doesn't prohibit it and you've not had any issues so far, I say go for it! Just go slow and listen to your body. ❤️
