In regards to your diet, I would count the calories tightly. There are a lot of empty calories in what you described, specifically carbs. Go online and determine what your BMR is and then compare to calorie intake. Make changes as necessary to obtain a calorie deficit. You’d surprised at what adds up and how easy it may be to remove a few small items to get to negative. Count every dollop of sauce, every vitamin ( yes, vitamins add calories), powders, etc. Are you exercising? That helps your metabolism as well. Finally, losing slow is still losing and succeeding but really try to eat clean and lose some of those empty calories.

Fourth of July grill out ideas?

grilled veggies on a stick! eggplant, zucchini, asparagus, broccoli, sweet onion, carrots, portobello, sprinkle with some olive oil and spices and grill to caramelization! eat em off the stick, or toss em in a bowl with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar/glaze and some buratta or fresh mozzarella or firm ricotta and go to town. #yumYUMyum if you want a bit more protein, grill up some shrimp as well, or, my own personal fave: add some anchovies if eating out of a bowl (yes, i realize anchovies are not for everyone 😜) (yikes...now i just hyped myself into going grocery shopping for some veggies to grill...)

Since patches works for some but not others, you will know on your first post-op blood tests. You can make adjustments from there. I added the high ADEK to bring up a low vitamin A but it was never "deficient" per se. It's like a simple insurance policy that will cover those four important vitamins. I hope they will work for you because it is so so easy. I hate big pills too lol .

I'm allowed to take them, just not regularly. My clinic says to take a reflux tablet at the same time.

    JUNE SURGERY BUDDIES

Hi friends! Just had my dietician appointment I am now on the pureed stage! I have never had any other milk but cow and I am a very picky person. What's the best tasting plant based milk for someone like me?

    I’m terrified

I'd be surprised if they weren't accepting of a 1-2 lb gain (if that's all it is) since people's weight fluctuates every day (in fact, MORE than once a day!). But if you're really worried, you could always do low sodium or low carb for a few days before you're weighed since either of those would rid you of excess water (which is what usually causes those temporary fluctuations).

    Moving After Surgery

I would start calling bariatric doctors in your new location and ask the questions. Different doctors have different requirements. For me, my doctor saw me at 3 wk, 6wk, and will again at 6 months and at a year, as well as and every year after. I am also required 6 month labs, year labs, and labs every year after.

Oikos Pro yogurt. 20g of protein per cup. Vanilla and Peach are my favorites. Mix with fruit serving or a bit of granola for crunch. edited to add: I also have used the 3 ounce proteins shots. The taste isn’t so good but it’s only 3 ounces and gives you I believe 20 to 30 g of protein.
