If anyone who was rooting for you watches any type of sports they should understand that your favorite team doesn’t always win but you don’t stop cheering for them every time they play.

    Any revision veterans out there

Thanks so much for all your replies. I did try the phentermine but that didn’t work because I mainly snack at night and it wears off before then. And unfortunately with my other meds that’s the only one I was able to try so now she has me trying sleeping pills thinking if I can sleep through the night I won’t get up and snack but I think I need a stronger MG cause they don’t work. Another dr told me I can try taking like one and a half but I haven’t tried it yet cause I also read that it’s not good to take this medicine every night so I want to talk to her about that. I talked to a surgeon and he was very surprised that I am able to eat a whole 6 inch sandwich now at only two years out. That was his way of knowing how much my stomach can hold I guess was to ask how many inches of that I could eat if we went to a sandwich shop. I told him that I have been able to eat more than expected at every given stage from day one but when the hunger was gone I was able to eat what I was expected to. But after hunger returned it’s like I had no help without the restriction. I definitely couldn’t get my moneys worth at an all you can eat buffet anymore after surgery BUT, I could eat a normal serving pretty early out if I chose to. He said that I definitely need a smaller pouch which they can do with the bypass so that sounded promising that maybe it could be different?? I just wonder if like others have mentioned if all or part of the work needs to be done in my head. I am by no means opposed to trying therapy. I keep trying to find a therapist and even put a call in to see if the surgeon has any pull with one because in my area they are just not accepting new patients other than for the evaluations for surgery. He’s hasn’t called back yet but I am getting another opinion about whether going with bypass will be okay with my psyc meds since they advised against it the first time around so I will also ask him if he knows anyone that he can get me into. i have read on here that the revision weight loss is slower. I forgot about that. I hope it will still be as much though if I’m patient. I guess I am wondering if my hunger will go away the second time?? I just don’t want to yo yo down then right back up again like I did this time. I already know I sorta let everyone else down along with myself that was rooting me on and it has been very embarrassing to publicly fail at this. I almost think it would be easier to stay heavy than to fail at this again.

    Favorite Vitamins?

My program actually recommends the Flintstones Complete. They are affordable, especially for the beginning where you might need to take more expensive chewable calcium and stuff. I take two Flintstones, two chewable calciums (will be glad when the bottle is done though ha) and one B12 melt (every other day). I do think I'll switch to pills once I'm done with my stash of chewables though.

    Favorite Vitamins?

I don't think I am spending $30 a month on all of it, I buy 90 day bottles and its very cheap. I just can't do the chewables, they make me nauseous when I chew them, and they were more expensive.

Your stress levels must be on high alert. I really wished you could have had your happy ending by now. You are having such a rough ride. I hope your team get all their ducks in a row and begin to see sense. You deserve it.

    Favorite Vitamins?

I've been on this site for about eight years, and the patch vitamins come up once in awhile (esp when they first came out). They seem to work for some people, but not everyone. I've never tried them because I figured I'd be one of those they don't work for - but I've considered getting some for traveling since they're convenient and I wouldn't have to lug a bunch of pills around. Plus even if they don't work for me, a few days of low (or no) absorption won't kill me.

    Pre - opt Liquid diet

I’m 6 days into my 14 day liquid diet. The first 3 days were bad. It’s definitely gotten easier. I been averaging 5 premier shakes and try to drink at least 3-4 cups of water along with 2 cups of chicken broth. I’m having a hard time sleeping because all this liquid is making me use the restroom every 2hrs. I tried to finish shakes + dinner by 9-10p and still wake up from my exploding bladder.

    Mindset

You can stall several times while you are losing so yes you may be stalling again. Remember a stall is the time your body uses to reassess & readjust to your lower weight & new needs. It resets things like digestive hormones, metabolism, etc.

if you've been following your clinic's recommendations, then it's likely water retention from the IV fluids. That's basically salt water, and a lot of people retain that. There are some people on here who've even weighed 10 lbs more when they left the hospital than when they arrived! It can take a week or occasionally longer to work its way out of your system. stick to your plan and the weight will come off. Everyone is different due to different factors, many of which you have little to no control over (like age, gender, starting BMI, metabolic level, how much weight you lost prior to surgery, etc). The two things you DO have control over is how closely you stick to your plan and your activity level. If you do well with those, the weight will come off, whether fast or slow. also, the 20 lb loss you said you think you should have lost in the first two weeks - banish that thought. If you started out at 600+ lbs, then yes - maybe - but for us more "normal" WLS patients, losing 20 lbs in two weeks just doesn't happen. Most of us lose somewhere in the 15-25 lb range the first MONTH. Yes of course you will find people who've lost more or less than that the first month, but they're outliers. You're probably doing just fine. Give it more time and remember to stick to your plan! I thought i was a terribly slow loser - and I WAS a bit behind others with similar statistics (starting weight, etc), but I ended up losing over 200 lbs.
