    Two days post op

the VSG was once part 1 of the DS. The DS was often done in two surgeries in the past - they'd make a sleeved stomach first, then would go in a few months or a year later and bypass the small intestine. But enough people lost enough weight after surgery #1 that they started offering it as a standalone surgery - and the VSG was born. Long way of saying - doing something like this in two parts should still work fine. I know you're wanting a SADI instead of a traditional DS, but the same should apply.

    7 weeks post op

I am 7 weeks post op and only lost 25 pounds. I haven’t lost a single pound in over 2 weeks. Has anyone else gone through this and then still continued to lose weight? I thought for sure by 8 weeks I would be down 35-40lbs. I am nervous about not losing anymore weight.

    Anyone having surgery on 4/18

My surgery is on 4/20, diet of mostly shakes with two cups of non-starchy vegetables daily. I hate the taste of the shakes, so have probably only been able to drink 1.5 - 2 each day. Can't get enough of the vegetables, so may be going over the two cups a bit. This is hard.

    Nausea made better by eating

Thanks everyone. They actually told me to drink 2 ounces of kefir in the morning (to do an intestinal flora reset) and switch my vitamins with iron, to before bed. The kefir has been a life changer. I feel a lot better. The nausea still comes but not as bad and it's a bit later in the day. They also told me to drink more fluids because sometimes when we need fluids we might feel nauseous. This has definitely been a journey and of course it's on going. Thanks again.

If you eat after being full, and you know, have you thought about talking to a therapist the specializes in this kind of thing. A lot of people need a little help in that area.

    SLOWER WEIGHT LOSS

Sure. First, the "everyone is different" caveat lol (different starting weight, different genes... Etc) But to your question, I lost ~16 my first month, and ~9 lbs my second and third month. Then 6 to 8 lbs a month till goal. Then after goal, while trying to figure out my maintenance level I lost 4 to 5 lbs a month for the next 5 months, then 1 to 2 lbs for a few more.

    Gas pain recommendations!

Oh GasX works. Being ambulatory is also critical. Be careful not to dissuade people from real, doctor-recommended aids. It would be a shame for someone to suffer needlessly because they took this advice only.
