Was traveling home yesterday and spent a few hours in the airport. Brought out the laptop to do some work. About a half hour into it I realized I was actually using my laptop on my LAP for the first time. I have a lap!!!

    Stall?

Don't cut back on your calories unless your team told you to. You are so low that your body will be holding onto the nourishment to counteract the exercise you are doing. Trusting the process is a tough learning curve that we all have to learn. Hold your nerve, the stall will break

    Butt cushion recommendations?

If it's your sit bones bothering you - get used to the pressure. I'd recommend long bike rides for this. (Only half kidding here.)

GERD is often caused by a hiatal hernia. If during VSG surgery a HH is discovered, most surgeons will repair. GERD is also more common among people who are overweight and can sometimes improve or completely disappear with weight loss. I would suggest forwarding your medical records to Dr. Alvarez, specifically any pertaining to your Upper GI issues so that he can review and then tele- consult. Have you had an upper endoscopy? I am currently at Dr. Alvarez's Endohospital (Endobariatric.com). I have met Dr. Alvarez a couple of times since arriving earlier today. He is most impressive! It is not exaggerating to say the facility is like a Luxury Resort Spa. My surgery is scheduled in the morning and after talking to several patients one & two days out of surgery, I know I have chosen the right surgeon. I hope you can find the answers you are seeking.

    yummy snacks

Ok hear me out but if you're craving pizza...this is what I do. I use a lower-carb tortilla (my favorite are the Mission Cauliflower tortillas but they are a bit higher in carbs than some of the other brands), and fill it with about half an ounce of mozzarella cheese, some turkey pepperoni, and whatever other pizza toppings I like (mushrooms, green peppers, onions, etc, whatever you've got that you like)...fold it in half, toast it up like a quesadilla. cut it into thin strips and dip it in pizza sauce. I call it a "Pizza Melt" because I feel weird calling it a quesadilla but it does definitely scratch the itch and is a nice filling meal with protein and veggies.

    Binge Eating Before Surgery

I -wanted- to have a final cheat day but the surgeon gave me my surgery date much sooner than I planned & I had to go on the pre-op diet immediately. I thought I was gonna miss out on my favorite foods forever. I'm 3mos out & Im already having some of my favorite foods! I bring this up because it's NOT a final goodbye. It's more of a 'see you later' Get back to your program, start eating healthy, it will be worth it & you will still eventually enjoy your favorite foods. Don't sabotage this opportunity! If you truly feel you cannot control it please talk to a professional. Binging issues don't go away after surgery if they are not properly addressed. Take care 💜
