    Hair loss and extensions?

I’m losing quite a bit of hair and I’m 10 weeks post op. Has anybody here gotten extensions to help with hair volume? How did it work out?

    Help with body pain afterwards

I had my sleeve 8 days night I woke up screaming because of pain. Which is something I never have done. I have an extremely high tolerance for pain. But my whole body ,from shoulders to feet hurt when I moved. I called a 24 hour nursing service I used and they asked if I had ibuprofen. I said I couldn't take that but my Dr said I could take my meloxicam rarely as it's only the 7.5 tabs. She said take that with a cup of hot chamomile tea if you have that or other hot tea if not seep it for awhile. Then she started looking up info on the sleeve and said this is something that can happen for up to 2 years. The reason I'm posting this is not to scare you but to say the tea and melxicam worked. I still hurt abit after 4 hours but I can move. So if any of you have a problem with this try that remedy if you can. Sent from my SM-S901U using BariatricPal mobile app

Its monthly weigh in time. I weigh myself and take measurements around the 4th of every month. Small changes continue. I joined a gym recently. Cant wait to start going.

    Body contouring recovery time

I was in the hospital one night. Checked in at 5:45am the day of surgery. It lasted @ 7 hours. I was feeling good the next day.Physical therapy walked with me & I had relatively little pain. After Dr. LoMonaco checked me out, I was discharged @ 3pm. Pain levels are very individual but mine really never went above a 4.5/5 and I have walked 3 times per day for 15 minutes with little discomfort since leaving the hospital. I wanted to have an inner thigh lift at the same time but Dr. said it would be too much so I may do that later. Good luck!

    Is this a stall?

On rereading my post it does read snarky. For this I apologize. I should have put some winky faces and LOLs. It struck me funny that you talked with your Doc then came here. Nothing wrong with it, I do get the need. Again, apologies. By all accounts stalls seem to be bothersome. Personally I never experienced one because I was too large for home scales. I only was able to weigh at monthly follow-ups. It was a blessing in disguise. I learned we don't need a scale to follow our plans. My Doc was on board with the concept, he never brought up my weight loss unless I did. He was interested in how the plan was going, how I was feeling, my mental attitude, any issues or concerns. Good luck, Tek

    Is this a stall?

My "3-week stall" started at week 2 and lasted a month. Just keep doing what you're doing and trust the process. This is the first of MANY stalls that you will have. If the scale drives you crazy, you're on it too much.

Im a 3 yr old sleeve and i still dump (excess sugar is my personal kryptonite). As i got further out my sensitivity to sugar decreased. Where before just a couple sips of a sugary sake had me on the bathroom floor, alternating ends to face the toilet (no joke) and knocked me out for a few hours, now its more like 1/2 a scoop of ice cream will suction me to a couch or chair for 30 mins or so, likely followed by a liquid poop followed by an exhausted power nap. (oh, and sprinkle in some temp fluctuations, sweating, racing heart, difficulty breathing to both scenarios above) do i like that i dump?! H*lls, no. It feels like death. BUT i can appreciate how its just another tool to keep me where i’ m at. An annoying tool yes, but an effective one. Like those above, i’ve learned what i can do to avoid it, its just part of my habits now (i.e, I don't eat too much, too fast at a time; I make its not on an empty stomach; etc...) …:also i have an awesome fam who often test bites food and drink for me to report on its sweetness level before i have a go at it. I also notice that Mr often asks to share a dessert plate with me which I suspect he does to eat more of the dessert than I do…..he was the one that had to pick me up off the bathroom floor and carry me upstairs to bed that fateful first dump night…i guess it spooked him and does not want a repeat performance.

I’m 5 years out and I still dump and am glad that I do. Dumping is a sign that I made a bad choice. I used to eat ice cream by the gallons. Now I can have a taste, but not too much. Because of dumping I have my sugar addiction under control. I wish we all dumped as it is such an advantage in maintenance.
