Before surgery, my surgeon put me on Ozempic, to treat my diabetes and jump start my weight loss. It worked great!

Anyone 6 weeks post op today.

Hello!!! I am 4 weeks out today. Things have been pretty good so far. Bending to pick things up sometimes is a challenge still. Last night, I started up water aerobics it was tough, but it was good to start something. Food has gone good for the most part. I just need to slow down and be mindful. How's your journey going???? August surgery buddies!

Eight pounds away from healthy BMI is tremendous! Well done. You must be really happy with your results. I'm working on getting to your starting weight, since I'm 199 pounds now, and I still have 40 pounds or so to lose to reach a healthy BMI. My weight loss is slowing down too, as I've only lost a little more than one kilo so far this month or 2.4 pounds. I was hoping to continue to lose 3-4 pounds a month, so that I would have a chance to reach a healthy BMI this year, but it may not happen. Still, I'm exactly at BMI 30.0 now, so I will soon be in the "overweight" category and not obese, which is something.

    1. I had not restriction on Straws. Used them without any problems right from day one in hospital 2. I got an adult dose of vitamins from the supermarket, Dieticians recommendation. Changed to ones without iron because of nausea. I take calcium tablets. Every 3 months I have a vitamin B12 injection which really helps with my energy levels. 3.I was tested for swelling of my incisions but nor leaks 4. Sodium is never an issue in the UK. I could have broth 5. I could not have a shower until my staple were taken out at about 10 days. They didnt want the dressings getting wet. [ strangely I was given new dressings for after showers, so I ignored the first set of instructions and showered] Pack a blanket if its cold outside, I was freezing. Take a pillow to hug in the car ride home. You can put it under the seat belt. Bumpy roads are the norm over here and a pillow did help. Lip balm and biotin was very useful

    23 Days After Sleeve

Your body is adjusting, just follow your plan and it will pass. There is an iconic "3 week stall" which you seem to be right around there. Around 3 weeks post-op a lot of people hit a stall. Basically staying at the same weight for a little bit, just still to your plan and it will pass.

    Pre qualifications for surgery

I didn’t have surgery with Carrum but can tell you that the length of time the process takes is dictated mostly by the insurance company. Some require a 3 or 6 month weight loss attempt where a doctor weighs you every month. Also most require a psyc evaluation and you may also have to do some medical tests to determine you are fit for surgery to name a few of the common requirements. Beyond that, it will just depend on how busy your doctor is. Once I had completed my requirements it was about a month till my surgery.
