yep, i felt like i had some seriously deep laugh lines and i tried out filler to address it. while yes, it definitely lessened their appearance, and in the lower section by my mouth it totally disappeared, i just didn't like the look of it. it didnt look natural to me. i mean, im 50 yrs old, i should have some lines...personally, i think i looked like i was a walking instagram filter, lol. also *i* felt it made me look chubbier...whether that was true or not...its important to note here that no one else thought so, if they even noticed. most everyone besides my bffs and my daughter just thought i was taking care of my skin. even my husband didn't/doesn't notice. so now i just stick to cheek fillers (i have lovely looking cheekbones now), which does have a small side affect on my laugh lines. the filler pushes out the skin which lifts up my lower face a teeny bit and stretches out the laugh lines, which lessens the appearance. it's subtle and more natural looking imo than filler directly into that area. you didn't ask, but i'll speak to the undereye and chin filler i had that i also wasnt a fan of. undereye filler: tried it to adress my sunken undereyes. yes, it got rid if the sunken look, but combined with cheek filler i thought again, that i looked chubbier in the face and had a rounded cheek look instead of the angular look i preferred. so now i just use a good concealer and live with it. chin filler: my tech suggested i try on my chin to adress my semi-turkey neck and to get a more defined jaw. and yep, it did help with both the loose skin on my neck under the chin and give me a nice profile, but i felt like my chin looked too big for my face. i was just probably used to my normal chin though. and again, no one even noticed. anyway, didn't do it again after that.

Haven’t done plastic surgery. Don’t think the recovery & scaring is worth it for the little lose skin I have. If they took it from all over my body they’d probably only remove 1or 2 kilograms. But beauty treatments, I’m like @ms.sss. My name is Arabesque & I’m vain. It’s something that only started in the last two years. Was never this bad before surgery. It’s my new addiction. Had Dysport (Botox) in my forehead, between the brows, chin & upper lip (lip curl) several times. I love it. The lip curl is amusing as for the first couple of days after it starts working, I sort of lisp & feel like a can’t pronounce some words & cleaning my teeth is a hoot - can’t spit out the toothpaste it sort of drools out. Several RF sessions in my second year. Don’t know if it did anything because I did it around the time my weight was stabilising & my body was resettling. Liked the experience though - soothing. Filler on the side of my face. Had sunken pockets of no fat in front of my ears. It lifted my marionette lines a little. Had one derma pen (deeper micro needling) treatment (subsequent sessions delayed for many reasons) but am having my first combined micro needling & RF (even deeper needling & RF which occurs below the surface of the skin) in January. Takes three moths to start to see any effects & you need about 6 treatments of derma pen but inky 4 with combined treatment. Think I see a little reduction in my acne scarring, which was the main purpose of having it. The combined treatment is supposed to aid skin laxity. We’ll see. Have monthly facials, pedicures (like doing my own finger nails) & have had micro blading (best thing ever). Having first teeth whitening this afternoon. Don’t know what I’ll try next.

That was excellent thank you lol. I guess I'm afraid that I will be one of those dumbasses too haha. That is my personality. I push myself and think I'm super woman, and I am not lol. That was helpful because this type of information is so hard to find on the net because the sites are written by doctors and they say how long the recovery is but it is too general. The way they word it, I picture myself having to lie down for 2 weeks straight, and I can't do that with a bunch of little cats depending on me to be fed. Thank you.

I've thought of having arm lift, breast lift, and thigh lift. I meant to ask this question here. I am worried about how soon would it be that I can feed my pets, nothing heavy or anything but there is no one to take care of them if I am down. If it is a quick recovery like the rny, it would be no problem. If anyone can give me insight it would be extremely helpful. Honestly, that's my only concern is my cats lol

    Eating slow

Eating fast is my main issue. Idk if mine stems from my old food addiction but I tend to have a problem making my meals last more than 15mins. I think I just get too excited to eat, it doesn't cause me to overeat but I do think it's part of my mental process. Maybe yours has to do with that too? There may be something we both have to address mentally with our relationship with food.

    How do you curb cravings?

Trying to stave off a craving by eating something else is probably just going to lead to you eating something else AND the thing you're craving. Could you try plating a small portion of what you're craving along with something else more nutritionally dense and something with protein? So for instance, a piece of chocolate, some apple, and some peanut butter? That way you're getting the thing that sounds good, you're getting fiber, and you're getting protein, so you're full after you finish what's on your plate. This could also work with slider foods, just substitute chocolate with pretzels, chips, etc.

I never chose a goal weight. At 1/4 ton overweight I would have killed to get within 100 pounds of an overweight BMI. Anything better was too far beyond reason in my mind. As it turns out I shot past a normal BMI before I managed to get back up. I had 16 pounds removed during my abdominoplasty. Good luck, Tek

    Feeling kind of devastated…

Last week I had breast reduction and panniculectomy surgery, which all seems to have gone well. However… I was a 42H and my surgeon promised me a DD cup. I know that I can’t really see where I’m going to end up because it’s so soon, but I look like a B or C cup, and I think it looks ridiculous on my still heavy figure. (My daughter took one look and joked that I’ll need implants!) I have hated my breasts since the day they grew in looking down at my feet, and I was SO excited to have breasts I would finally feel good about. I primarily did it because of neck and back pain, but I just can’t believe how bad I look. Added to that, now that the belly is gone my thighs look hideously misshapen. They’re floppy. I’m just so depressed. I’m trying hard to not complain to others and to also accept what can’t be changed. But I just had to share with someone. I’m never going to look “normal.”
