    Food Before and After Photos

Seitanmedaillons, Semmelknödel & Rotkraut. It matches the season. (Cleaning out the fridge, freezer and shelves again.) Usually a brown sauce belongs to this dish but I didn't have any so I did some fusion kitchen and used some hoisin sauce. I also had duck sauce available but after trying and not liking it I threw that one out. The medallions were made in the oven which made them a bit too dry but I was too lazy to pan fry. Not sure how I will dress up the four leftover ones. I also have three Knödel as leftovers. Maybe I'm simply opening a package of Rotkraut again, lol.

Thursday’s chicken enchiladas (I ate half of one) and then I made bread that I forgot to tent so the tops got extra toasty. Turned a couple slices into toast with cashew butter. (Ate one slice). Friday the kids had pasta salad and I packed pintos and rice for my work lunch.

I hope everyone's surgery & recovery is as easy as mine has been! Having all of you people to talk with & learn from, really made a significant success in how I went into this! Thank you! and love you! Sent from my moto g play (XT2093DL) using BariatricPal mobile app

    Exercise

I don't formally exercise because I don't like the guilt or stress feeling if I don't do it a certain day. So this time around, I have embraced a lifestyle that is based on movement, meaning I just keep moving in my daily life. Whether I'm at home doing chores or at work. For example, when I watch a movie, I will do exercises, like crunches or sit-ups. I keep a pair of dumbbells by my couch. Sometimes I wear leg weights all day. And some days, I feel so tired probably because I'm not taking in enough calories, and I won't do anything but stretch all day. I practice the "One in One out" rule to have no clutter in my home so I do a lot of walking back and forth to get what I need. Things like that. While others depend on exercise to lose weight. I don't. I can't "outrun my fork" lol. The exercise is to just to keep me healthy. The weight loss is from my diet.

You should be doing about 1/4 cup at this stage, over a hour. Eat slow so you don't miss your full signal and over eat.

    Exercise

I totally love this approach, it helps a lot because I do the same per day and I am going to do the weights by the couch as well thanks 🙏 good to know others are like minded as well .

    New, Dazed and Confused

I was actually approved for the sleeve but am switching to bypass. In my own research, and much reading of this forum, I just see too many people experiencing GERD after the sleeve. Sometimes it takes years to show up or it can happen right after surgery, but there are many, many revisions because of this. I just couldn't risk living with the kind of medication resistant GERD people describe for a couple of years then go through a revision. I see much more satisfaction from the bypass side. I realize there are people perfectly happy with their sleeve and I hope that continues for them. This is my best decision for myself. I would just encourage you to search the sleeve forum for GERD and also stroll though the revision forum to see why they changed. The kind of GERD we are talking about makes living difficult. If not for this one issue, I would go with the sleeve, though the bypass is still considered the gold standard. Good luck with your own decision. Your surgeon can help with this.
