OMG this just made me try crossing my legs for the first time since I lost my weight. I never crossed my legs bc it was difficult & uncomfortable. Now I can!! I'm glad I saw this

Hi, I’m going have my surgery in less than two weeks November 7 - looking for a few pals with the same surgery date or month. I’m going to have the bypass.

I'm glad to hear you're doing better! I, too, have appreciated how easy it is to get in my protein and fluids by using the shakes. But, alas, they won't let us drink them forever. We have to start eating real food.

My watch fell off. I always liked to wear my watch loose, more like a bracelet, but the other day i was reaching for something and whoop! There it went. (Cheap watch, didn't hurt it.) But I just stood there, like I had done a magic trick, lol. Slipped it back on, wiggled it off. Gotta find someone to take out links. 😋

Okay, Hotwing&aprayer and Arabesque got my attention and I have been thinking about whether I carry myself differently at different weights. I don’t think I really do. Anyways, this Is what came to mind. Has anyone ever seen the fat suit experiment that Tyra banks did years ago? I am not able to find it anywhere in video form but I just read a review of it to refresh my memory. They sent her out to the store, on the bus and on three blind dates in her suit. People as you probably expect were horrible to her. In An article speaking about it Tyra said "It was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life." Noting that people "snickered" and "laughed" when she walked down the street, Banks admitted, "I had no idea it was that blatant." I know it’s not a perfect design but it’s about the closest we’re probably ever going to get to seeing how differently people treat us based on weight alone. After watching something like that I was convinced that the problem does lie with society and with certain people to a large degree and not in large part with the obese person or how they carry themselves. I’m sure that we do carry ourselves at least a little differently when heavy vs thin but I doubt that putting on a suit could change someones Confidence overnight yet everything seemed to change in the way People approached Tyra the second she put on that suit. Thoughts?

If you ever want to test this firsthand as a female just walk around a store for a while at your goal weight. Especially one with a majority of male workers like a home improvement store. it’s crazy how much more help you get. Like they go out of their way to offer help. It’s kinda crazy.

Finally got rid of my XXL pre-surgery coats. Bought smalls and mediums last winter in casual jackets, but didn’t have a dress coat. I found two beautiful coats, both on sale, but one was an XXS and one was a size 2. I thought, “No way” but tried them anyway. They’re form fitting, but fit. Got them both! Yippee!!!!
