    Where to buy

Use google shopping search if you know the name of the product. Bariatric Pal has a lot of products, but there are many other bariatric sites selling products. Amazon carries a lot of bariatric products, too.

    Eating Hurts - Any Tips?

I agree with the suggestion to go back to liquids for a few days. It’s not uncommon for people to do this - we heal in our own time. And yes certain foods like eggs can be difficult to tolerate for some. I’d also talk to your surgeon just to be sure especially because of the pain. Oh, and being able to feel water go down, I get that at times & I’m three years post surgery. Only with water though & especially if it’s cool/cold. I also gurgle a lot - a very noisy digestive system.

    Severe complications

those kinds of complications are pretty rare, so you're not likely to find anyone who's been through that (but then again, who knows...). I'm so sorry you're going through this!!)

    September surgery buddies!!

3 weeks! Which made me kind of crazy by the end. I was so excited when I got to pureed this week but it already feels so tedious to me now lol. Before surgery, I'd to put away all distractions while I ate (intuitive eating strategies) and but now I have to play a puzzle game on my tablet while I eat because otherwise I'm staring at my timer like a crazy person, trying to take 30 mins to eat. Now I just take a bite every level. Liquids were so much easier compared now lol.

i don't understand why your surgeon didn't push you towards bypass instead of sleeve if they thought your PCOS would create problems down the road. I am so sorry you are going through with it, and even more sorry our health care system sucks especially after what happened this past summer... unfortunately its going to be harder now for you to get a hysterectomy. There was a list circulating on google, of all the doctors in the US willing to do hysterectomys without hoops, they would just submit to your insurance for approval and I will pray for you that the PCOS issues is enough or that they will atleast put you on something to put you into early menopause to keep it at bay

    September surgery buddies!!

I keep dreaming of foods all the time and if my kids bring in things like donuts to the house, I swear my stomach starts growling. But if I stop and really feel if I'm hungry or not, I don't actually feel hungry, so I think its head hunger. This hasn't changed from the day I got my surgery (on the 19th)so I don't know if it will ever go away. If it does go away, I'll be a happy person though.

    Help with nausea?

Hi, Laura. I had really severe nausea and couldn't eat or drink. I was full of buyers remorse, I paid to suffer like this. I was miserable. I had problems over the Christmas period getting through to any doctor, due to Covid. The helpline 111 was swamped and it was a full 6 weeks before I got help. I was very wobbly, dizzy and weak I finally got help via my own doctor and got prescribed Lansoprazole capsules twice a day to begin with. I would have one in bed about 6am. It coats my stomach and really works. The second one I took about 5pm so it had time to work before my evening meal. I only take the morning one now. When I got to about 9 weeks, things really improved for me and I am getting on great now. I have occasional nausea but it passes. I have always loved Heinz chicken soup, so I strained it and tolerated it really well early on. I had Bovril, milk, fruit ice lollies and milky coffee when ever I could tolerate anything. TBH I have only recently reached my liquid and protein goals. I am walking every day and getting better at it. I am 62 so a late starter at this. My husband was really worried about me early on but I think it was so worth it. No matter that I was so ill, I would do this again in a heartbeat. Ask me anything. I am here for you
