Please don't take this the wrong way, but if there's one thing you'll here on this site perhaps more than any other it's this: don't compare yourself to others. There's nothing good that can come of it. Even if you found someone that was your exact same starting weight, height, and even had surgery the same day, there are still way too many other variables that could impact your progression. Just some examples: age, physical fitness, %body fat, basal metabolism, diet, bougie size, surgical complications, etc. Honestly, it sounds like you're doing fine. If you're not happy with your loss so far, talk with your bariatric team. They may have suggestions for you such as increasing the amount and type of exercise and/or changes to your diet. Best of luck!

    Liquid diet to SoftProtein

That is very vague. haha I was on 2 week phases, 2 weeks full liquids, 2 weeks pureed, 2 weeks soft foods and then slowing transition to solid foods. I did not have to wait to see my surgeon before each stage but we were advised if we had any issues to reach out. I was lucky enough to have a smooth recovery and had no issues transitioning into different stages. When we started trying foods again, we were advised to try ONE thing at a time so if we got sick we knew exactly what it was from. Then, we could try that food again a few weeks/months later as our tolerances change as we progress.

Everyone above is right, lot's of reasons your weight might fluctuate. There's one reason I can guarantee you it's NOT. That you gained fat. While this is a bit of an oversimplification, you would have needed to eat 3500 calories more that you burned in the last week to gain just 1 pound of fat. Since at 3 weeks, you're probably not even eating 3500 calories in a week, I's a safe bet that whatever else is causing your overall weight to fluctuate, it's not that you added fat.

    Start to Surgery Date

Well, don't use me as the standard, but it took me almost 3 years from initial consult to surgery. I know some people, especially those that are self-pay, have done it in less than a month. Think of the delays as YOUR time to get mentally prepared. The surgery will help, but what it really takes to be successful is changing the way you eat. Especially if you have an eating disorder, this can be the hardest part.

    Start to Surgery Date

It really depends on your program and more importantly your insurance. Some companies require a 3 or 6 month medically managed weight loss attempt. Most clinics just have you go there monthly to check your weight and sorta use it as an opportunity to spread out your other requirements a bit so they aren’t so overwhelming. Sounds like you probably have the whole list of requirements though unless a medical issue pops up that they need to investigate further to clear you for surgery. It really varies whether you will get a date before or after you have completed everything and receive your approval but obviously the timeframe itself will not Change you may just know it sooner. My whole process took about 6 months from first appointment to surgery day.

Are you feeling tired all the time?

Yes, it’s pretty normal. Your healing & recovering from a pretty major surgery & feeling tired is yiur body telling you to rest to allow it to heal. Plus you’ve made considerable changes to your diet which takes a bit of getting used to as well. If you feel tired, rest. Don’t push yourself to do more. It does get better though you may still experience periods of tiredness at times. Try an electrolyte drink (I used hydralyte) to give you a little boost of energy on days when you have a few chores to do. Take some with you when you’re out or stop at a cafe and rest over a cup of tea. I did this often.

Yep.... was married 26 years..... Same here, it got worse after PS. But, mine was never supportive of my WLS ever and never supportive of the PS..... I begged for the last few years to go to counseling, but he would not go. He regrets that now, but what's done is done. I have a wonderfully supportive husband now..... So happiness is achievable.
