    Blood pressure

How soon after surgery did your blood pressure go down? I am hoping that my blood pressure will get lower once I start losing more pounds. As it is, I haven't really been measuring my blood pressure post surgery, although I probably should. I have had a had time taking my blood pressure meds after the gastric sleeve, and I have even thrown up my pills a couple of times. I used to take them all at night, but now I take two pills at night and two in the morning, because four in one sitting is too much.

The BariatricPal Store carries the Premium Abdominal Binder for Bariatric and Plastic Surgery by DeRoyal at https://store.bariatricpal.com/products/premium-abdominal-binder-for-bariatric-and-plastic-surgery-by-deroyal. I didn't use one after either of my weight loss surgeries. Still, patients tell me that it makes a HUGE difference.

    Blood pressure

I did with my surgeon and my primary doc. I keep a log of my blood pressure readings and they said its fine and normal after surgery. still i keep an eye on it and take my blood pressure twice a day while resting so i can have that info ready on my next visit.

    I cheated - now what?

Don’t beat yourself up. Like others have said what’s done is done. But the underlying issue may be something to explore in therapy. The surgery fixes your stomach but but your head. Many people swear by the work that they do in therapy and how life changing it is. Maybe ask your team for a referral to a therapist that specializes in bariatric therapy.

I would only count things as a meal if it has protein. Popsicles would be considered fluid only. At four days post op, you really don't have to eat 3 meals a day, etc. You just have to sip constantly while you're awake in order to hit your protein and fluid goals until your tummy heals to the point that it can accept "normal bariatric portion meals" I would just focus on sipping every 15 minutes when you're not eating. The only thing that would count as a meal AND fluids would be something like a protein shake, protein water or broth with unflavored protein powder that was added to it, so anything that has proteins and is a fluid would count as both. I don't batch and freeze currently, so I'm not sure about containers. I'm not sure how freezing protein shakes would go. I have a feeling the texture would be different or they may separate. Have you tried the Fairlife protein shakes? They don't taste like a protein shake. They just taste like a lightly flavored milk to me. Strawberry reminds me of Strawberry Nesquick, but not as strongly flavored.

    Question on hair loss

Your new hair will be growing but you just can’t see or notice it but then you usually don’t notice new hair growth anyway. Hair grows slowly (only quarter to half an inch a month) but one day you’ll notice little fluffy fly away hair that will be two or so inches long. Oh yeah I agree. I’ll take a little hair loss for a big weight loss too. Wish my hair grew back at least wavy. I spend ages putting kinks & waves in my hair. I did get some kinks (on the back half of my head) when I was peri menopausal but that didn’t last ☹️☹️.

Eating carbs (pasta, rice, or bread )

I had mine about 2 weeks ago, about 9 weeks post op. I only ate 2 pieces to try it out but I was so happy and it sat fine! I had it again last night. 4pieces! I just make sure I already hit my protein goal because there isn't much protein in the small amount I can eat.
