    Advice and encouragement

Many people think they are a "slow loser" but in fact they just have unrealistic expectations from shows like My 600 Lb Life, which features people who lose "fast" because they are much bigger than your average WLS patient. You may still be a slow loser; I can't tell how much of your 33 lb weight loss was before surgery, but I lost about 9 lbs on average per month for the first 6 months after surgery, and my surgery center said I was doing great! Try to focus on things you can control, like eating and drinking and exercising the way your surgery center recommended, and don't worry about the scale. You might also focus on how your clothes fit or other "non-scale victories". You might also consider reaching out to your surgery center to make sure you're on track, and consider seeing a bariatric therapist. Good luck!

    I can’t drink enough liquids

Lizonaplane covered all the suggestions of ways to get more down. If you can’t and you do start to see signs of dehydration your doctor should be able to arrange for you to get fluids as an out patient. Still Not ideal but at least it’s better than another hospital bill.

Be patient, take your vitamins and eat your protein. The vitamins and protein won't stop the hair loss, but it is good for when it comes back. Which it will. I lost so much hair but it is now growing out.

Other than chop off all my hair to a pixie cut around 3 months post, absolutely nothing. New growth started sprouting around 6 months post, and by 2 years post all those chicken hairs were the same length as the rest of my hair which i was regularly trimming (my hair was just below chin length by then) Good Luck!❤️

I would ask your surgery center because they may know. You could also ask your insurance company, but you'll likely get a different answer each time you call... I don't think the issue of weighing in person should matter, as none of my pre-surgery visits for my insurance were in person. But whether Found has been accepted by insurance is hard to know... Good luck!

I still have a shake for breakfast every day. I drink the caffe latte by premiere protein and it has caffeine in it so it’s like really having a latte.

    Question about kidney stones

I know too much calcium can cause kidney stones - but I didn't know about calcium citrate. I didn't have kidney stones, but I was excreting WAY too much calcium and had to quit supplements altogether. Contact your PCP - they may have to do some testing to see what's going on...

It shouldn’t matter but it did for me. Even post COVID with virtual visits so it made no sense but according to the insurance coordinator they would not accept my psychologists very detailed documentation because he didn’t weigh me each month. He documented my weight but didn’t weigh me himself. I am hopping It’s different for the OP but this was my experience.
