    Small NSV

I accidentally mooned the public on a major road while running yesterday because I sized down but my track pants didn't. Oops.

I had the same experience recently. I went to try on clothing and tried on an XL and it was too big. I am now in a large from a 2X and it is very motivating! Now I am motivated to get into a medium for the first time in over 30 years.

Another thing to note is you will “notice” more muscle definition the less overlaying tissue you have covering it (i.e., fat and skin). Prior to my arm lift, I needed to flex to see see any muscles. After the arm lift, they could be clearly “noticed” with my arm just hanging by my side (full disclosure: my muscles are in hiding again these days due to pandemic laziness, lol) But of course, just because you can’t see or notice them, doesn’t mean they aren’t there! Best way to determine lean muscle mass gain is to get scanned. Good Luck! ❤️

I second the suggestion to not stick up on too much before surgery, especially shakes as many peoples tastes for sweetness changes as do others post surgery. I ordered shakes on Amazon and had two cases that I couldn’t drink after surgery.

I had a two-day athletic seminar this weekend with a bunch of people I've never met. We were asked to tell our story, so I told my story about struggling with weight loss, getting WLS, and trying to maintain strength through the weight loss. Afterwards a few of the participants said, "I would never have guessed you were heavy before. You could never tell now." Like a (refreshing) splash of cold water because I of course remember myself as the fat kid.

Hey to all my U.K. friends! So I’m 6 months post op and 2lbs from my personal target weight! Which I’m so happy about. Starting weight 15stone current weight 9stone 9 However I have some of that pesky flappy hanging skin on my lower tummy. Not as much as I expected which is good. I’ve managed to tone my top half of my belly giving it some definition. I also have two flaps of skin that once housed my breasts 😣 how soon after a sleeve has anyone else had a tummy tuck or breast uplift and who with? im doing some quotes at the moment to see if it’s viable as I feel ready is there any feedback from anyone in this situation? thanks

Congrats! I remember how fun it was when I started fitting into smaller clothing. NSV's are everything to me. Keep up the good work! I always lost really really slow before surgery. And now almost everything I bought after surgery is too big. (And as much as I think it's a great NSV, it's a double edged sword. I hate shopping for some things, like bras. Now I'm having to shop again, but its less fun since I'm broke from surgery) Congrats again, keep up the good work.

that's not normal - you said you talked to your doctor - was it your PCP or your bariatric surgeon? Something doesn't sound right..
