Could be just your crazy hormones at the moment but am glad you are seeing your gyno tomorrow just to be sure. Hope you’ve fully recovered from Covid too.

In the beginning.... if it was every couple of days I considered myself LUCKY! Once you get moving again, I've found that helps a lot (in addition to fluids).

    Pregnant after sleeve

Congratulations! Definitely see your doctor & then your surgeon. Start adding folic acid to your vitamin regime now - get supplements from your pharmacy. Also, talk to your dietician about what you can add to your post surgical diet to ensure you’re getting in a variety of nutrients. You may be surprised how few extra calories you’ll need - you’re not eating for two adults but for yourself & a tiny growing baby.

Juniper, I’m in the exact same place. I had severe reflux and had all the fluid taken out of my band. I quickly gained 20 lb over the 40 I had gained back over the last 2 years or so. I am approved for revision to bypass and am hoping to have it near the end of Feb. I had the exact same question . I would get stuck with the band and could either tough it out or eject the stuck item. I often chose eject and am wondering if you can do the same after bypass.

Yes! And I can finally wear Petites again! I think clothing manufacturers believe that there are no plus-size women on the shorter end. Or that we should just swim in tops.

I can understand the clothing situation! One thing that I did and I’m very blessed because I have a thrift store only a few blocks from my house which is off of the main radar of a lot of people that love to go thrift store shopping and there are so many beautiful o’clock to close there at a fraction of the price of the stores. So as I went down in my sizes I shopped there and I would bring in my clothing that was too big and exchange it out for credit for things that were smaller now in the beginning I was still buying clothes that were too big for me and it took a minute for me to learn that I was a smaller size but I finally got used to it and most of the clothes that I found my small little shop or brand new and still had the tags on them! And my big fetish is coats! I love coats and I love dusters and they had a slew of them so maybe that’ll work for you find a little thrift store which is off the beaten Path and you’ll save yourself a lot of money and as you start to shrink so rapidly that doesn’t make sense to buy a brand new clothes off the rack that everybody else is wearing. I like being different and a little fashionable so the store is absolutely perfect for me

Up until this point I had been revelling in how my formerly tight clothes had become loose and oversized because I hadn't HAD the luxury of getting my clothes "oversized" in so long...but I'm now getting to a point where those clothes have gone from "stylishly flowy" to "looks like I'm a child wearing my mom's clothes" so I HAVE to get some new stuff and I'm just...dreading it. My favorite place to shop right now no joke is a leggings store that only sells two sizes: One Size Fits Most and One Size Fits Most Plus.

Band-to-bypass patient here. I think I may have perspective that will help you considering I've been through it myself. I never lost weight with the lap band because it didn't work for me. It never reduced my appetite and it merely felt like a road block between my esophagus and stomach. Food slid through the band pretty easily (if I chewed well enough and/or ate slider foods) and considering it was much easier and more comfortable to eat that way, that's what I did. The lap band does NOTHING to stop you from eating as much ice cream or cheesy mashed potatoes as you want. With the lap band, if it's adjusted properly, you get a hard "stop" when your pouch is full. You have to be careful with the bypass because "full" is a much more gradual feeling. Eat slowly, or else you could end up eating too much and that is painful. Restriction is there but it's a gradual feeling rather than the sudden feeling of "I can't eat anymore." Keep in mind other benefits the bypass has that the lap band doesn't: malabsorption, reduced/muted appetite, and prolonged satiety. I would get hungry pretty fast after drinking water with my lap band (I always waited the 60 minutes we were told to wait and even so, the food washed right through my pouch). With the bypass I'll stay full for several hours. I get hungry but not *famished* to the point where I'm shaky and desperate. You're just 1 month post-op but it will get better feel free to PM me if you want to chat. Having had a lap band before will make this experience different for you. I'd get so frustrated when people told me the lap band was "just a tool" but it felt like someone gave me a bent screwdriver when what I needed was a jackhammer. The bypass is a much more powerful tool. I lost 20 pounds in 6 months with my lap band and then stopped. I was so frustrated with feeling miserable that I just gave up and ate what I wanted. With the bypass I've lost 101 pounds in 5 months. It's night and day, truly. Even on days when I want to give up and eat what I want, I can't. And I really appreciate that. Try eating a couple cookies and see what happens 😂 actually, don't. For me it's really bad farts but for a lot of people it results in terrible dumping so it's just not worth it. Anyway, I hope I provided some comfort for you. It will get better and you'll lose weight!!! It's such a better tool than the lap band (or as I call it, crap band!)
