    Headaches after Bypass Surgery

my dr said when i get headaches and feel dizzy, its time to adjust the meds im on. Im only taking Lisinorpil, and on my 1st follow up today, my blood pressure was "normal" and he warned me to contact my primary when i feel this way. Sent from my SM-G973U using BariatricPal mobile app

Couldn’t agree more with all the advice above. The goal is a future healthy life style. The first weeks weight loss is not a predictor of that. It’s hard in the first month or so to see the light, but if you work the process you’re going to succeed. We all seem to use the scale to measure success so I get it. I did the same thing and did experience the three week post op stall. I too was frustrated and concerned, but I held steady, it passed and I continued to see success. I’m three months out and have surpassed my original expectations.

    Contrave After Sleeve

I've not done this, but I do know Contrave affects cravings and reduces hunger. Given you are already only eating 800-1000 calories a day, I would question why this is even needed. Have you consulted with the nutritionists at your practice? Every place is different, but at mine, they expect me to be at 1200 calories at 6 months, maybe more if I am exercising seriously 5-6 times a week. Have you tried increasing your calories to see if that would help?

So I got a semi-funny one: Last weekend me and Mr were out at a bar and upon coming back from the bathroom, he introduced me to some new people he met at his “trophy wife”. The strong, independent woman in me is officially offended, but the slightly inebriated me was all giggly schoolgirl. 😂😂😂 Granted, he was pretty drunk himself so…😂

    Goal #1: COMPLETE!

Had my RNY October 5th. I was diabetic, so getting off those meds was goal #1. After the 2-week pre-op diet, I had come off all my meds, but was hesitant to say I would be free from those after surgery. Had my appointment with my diabetes doc at 4-weeks post-op, she declared my diabetes was now in remission, and we said our goodbyes! Daily glucose sticks are between 80-92...no matter when I test them! Goal #2...reduce size & get back to feeling "normal", whatever that will be!

my hunger returned at five months out, which definitely made things more challenging, but I managed to stick to my plan and kept losing until I was 20 months out. So no - your loss hasn't necessarily stopped. It does slow down quite a lot after the first few months, though - and my stalls became more frequently and lasted longer. Every time I'd think "well, this is it", but then it'd eventually start up again...

7 Days Post Op Full Liquids

Totally normal. By the end of the first week I could drink 8 oz in a few minutes with no discomfort and 16 oz in 10 minutes with no discomfort. You will feel discomfort with solid food if you have a few small bites in a few minutes and get a tightness or feeling "stuck" in your chest unless you go REALLY slow (I am just learning this). The liquids just go right through your stomach, so this has nothing to do with the size of your stomach.
