I have that when I eat too fast. Does eating slowly help? Did it just start or has it been going on since surgery/starting solid foods? But, it could be just from losing weight - I've had back pain since starting to lose significant weight and I've never had back pain my whole life.

    Gallstones after sleeve

Full blown attacks are very painful. I swear I would have thought I was dying if I didn’t know what was happening. Amusingly (or not) a friend told me her daughter rang her saying she did think she was dying when she had her first attack. Hope yours is removed soon too. It was 15 1/2 days from first attack, seeing my GP, then my surgeon until the surgery. I found the whole process somewhat easier. This time I knew the surgeon better, knew the hospital, knew the processes to expect going into the surgery & coming out. It was just the recovery that was the unknown but there were still similarities because they were both laparoscopic abdominal surgeries. You’ll be fine.

Rny for sure. The malabsorption will be what helps the most. The uninterested in food typically only occurs with your primary surgery. Plus no reflux is great and the dumping syndrome is a great motivator to not eat too much sugar

I don't have sugar cravings unless I see some tasty looking treat, but I'm hungry all the time, and have been since a week after surgery. I've tried more fiber, more fat, more protein, more liquid... basically the only thing that helps me personally is to drink hot tea with milk or sugar free hot chocolate between meals (usually hot tea). If you find something that helps, please post it here so maybe I'll find something else to try!!!

    Extremely Dilated Fundus...Anyone Else?

Update! I appealed the denial, appeal was denied again, took the next step which was an external review from a 3rd party company, and they deemed the revision medically necessary so now my insurance is legally bound to uphold that decision and cover it 100%. It took a while, but I won! More excited about winning the insurance battle than I even am about the surgery, but I know it will sink in soon.

    Dumping 😭😭😭

I dump A LOT ! I have got it down to eating too much aside from when I eat something and my body says NO. You just never know what will trigger it sometimes and you will figure out the things that do for sure as you go along in the process. The first 3 or 4 months are the worst, at least it was for me. It was also harder because I could not feel anything for about 6 months during the healing process and I dont have the restriction I had with VSG. The dumping keeps me in check for sure. Good luck

I have read other threads that show this has happened before and resulted in a healthy pregnancy. Talk to your doctors - false positive are far less common than false negatives. Congratulations!

Hi Allea Marie! Let's connect We can follow each other and start messaging on here if that sounds good to you? I don't have experience with starting or maintaining a small support group but I think this is the first step!

Hi Jen! I think forming a little group is a great idea! I'm basically in the same boat. Vsg 3 years ago, never got to goal and have gained 10/15 lbs over the last year and a half. I also have pcos and am pre diabetic. I am having a hard time getting back on track and I want to lose about 25/30 lbs. I could really use the support/ motivation from people that are in my shoes.

    Pregnancy and Gastric Sleeve

Hi all, I had the gastric sleeve surgery done in December and found out I was pregnant in May. I know it was advised to wait 12-18 months before getting pregnant, but I had a slip up. It’s all good news to me seeing as I never thought pregnancy would be possible at all for myself. I think like all first timers I am nervous about many things, my surgeon called me to reassure me that while it’s not ideal he is sure everything is going to be fine. I’ve lost nearly 85 pounds, but this week gained 2. Anyways, I was wondering if there are any other sleevers who have gotten pregnant and if they could tell me what their experience was like, during pregnancy and after. Will the weight come off just as easy after the baby is born?
