    Driver's License

I noticed today that I actually weigh 5 lbs. less than the wild lie that has been listed on my driver's license for the past 25 years! 🤣🤩 I guess it qualifies as a NSV.

No cons other than cost perhaps. I think its a great idea, some people (me included) tend to focus on the scales too much. We may strive and struggle to reach some magical scale weight but we may have insufficient body fat to lose after already losing a lot of weight. Focusing on body composition is a positive way forward.

    Cramping with almost every sip!

Glad to hear she is doing a little better each day. She is lucky to have your supporting her. Head hunger is a VERY REAL thing and even though most of us lose the actual hunger immediately post surgery the head hunger remains. Usually one can tell the difference because real hunger you want to eat anything (even fruit and veggies sound delicious) while head hunger you crave something specific (usually things you shouldn’t have). If the head hunger remains and is a problematic many of us benefit from talking to a bariatric therapist. I eat when I am board and emotional eat and am trying to find a therapist to help with this. I am still losing weight and working the program but worry if I don’t get the head hunger under control I will gain it back at the first real stressful circumstance. I hope this helps.

    November Surgery Buddies!!!

How are you doing on your pre-op? I am doing pretty good. I was a bit dizzy day 2, yesterday, but today I am not. It hasn't been horrible. I mean yeah I feel a little empty at times, but just keep telling myself it is only for X more days, and it is my Prep....just like for a colonoscopy only longer lol. And, I know it will be worth it. It is only going to make things easier on me. I honestly feel like a whinny butt when I get hungry. Like c'mon Robin there are tons of people that have nothing to eat every day....you can do this!! We ALL can!!!

I am in the same boat. Had my surgery on the 25th. It was so much worse than I imagined. Now a couple days out I'm feeling a little better thankfully. I am struggling to get every sip of water in. I still have some pain especially if I take too big of a sip. I am using disolvable tylenol- that's one tip I can offer. Found it on Amazon since my pharmacy didn't have it. Its a fruit punch flavored powder. Highly recommended it. I am definitely having some emotional issues already. Even though I'm not physically hungry, I'm mentally dying to eat something. Every time I nap I dream about food. And suddenly it seems every TV show or commercial is focused on food. It's going to be one hell of a challenge. Good luck on your journey, hopefully it gets better quick!

I would have been knocking on my surgeon's door long before now. Everyone needs to learn not to be shy about reporting issues to your surgeon and keep banging on them until there are action items in place to deal with whatever the issue is. If the action items don't resolve the issue then keep banging. The squeaky wheel get the grease. The screeching wheel gets whatever it needs. Good luck, Tek
