I had easy recovery and at 6 months out I have lost 55 pounds (I am 20 pounds from goal). I have always been able to eat more than I am supposed to and worried that would derail me but I just keep measuring and I have been okay. I am at a pretty long stall that I am hoping is not me going into maintenance.

    Not Losing

Personally, I wouldn't trust the calories these phone apps list as being burned. They are notoriously inaccurate. Unless you've had a series of physical metabolic tests to determine your baseline at your current weight, PLUS have a heart monitor strapped to your chest and and other sensors attached to you to calculate volume of oxygen your body consumes, you won't know what your metabolic rate truly is. Not sure if you are doing so already, but its probably better NOT to factor in exercise in your daily calorie counts. 600-800 cals a day at your weight of 248 lbs would seem like you should be losing weight, though...so when you say you are struggling to lose weight, do you mean you not losing weight at all? How long has it been?

    So I did it!!!

I'm on day 8 post op. The first 6 days were very difficult. I feel like I've turned a corner now. The worst is behind me. Hang in there. Don't get down. It is going to get better. Sent from my SM-N976U using BariatricPal mobile app

Just had my Sleeve surgery today, got there at 7:10 am and was on the way home 11.30. I did not or have not had any nausea at all. my chest hurts, the walking every hour is tough , because i want to sleep. nothing to eat for two full days now, will try a protein shakes tomorrow, they wanted me to do liquids today. doing OK, but on the way home noticed all the fast food restaurants. and when i got home, everyone was eating in front of me, and there were some nice looking muffins on the table. I'm working on not letting that bother me, but I'm still not hungry , time to take some drugs and get some sleep.

    2 week pre-surgery diet

    I don't think sugar-free pudding counts as a "clear liquid". It's a soft liquid.

They can't really be considered food, but sugar-free popsicles are an enjoyable treat for me.

I was also converted from VSG to RNY because of GERD (and other things) but not for additional weight loss. 2+ yrs later GERD is still gone which is a major win!
