    Today is my 9-year Anniversary

Thanks for sharing. I am at the point you were 12 years ago as far as weight. I hope I end up where you are now.

    EatIng disorder

I am not experiencing this but wanted to say I’m sorry you are struggling and glad to hear that you are getting treatment. May I ask, are you post weight loss surgery? Was this a new development after the surgery?? If not, do you feel like they just missed it during the psych evaluation or did you hide it well. I am post surgery and suffer from emotional eating and they missed it on the psyc evaluation so I am currently seeing a specialist (racing the clock getting help before my tool stops working). i just wonder how often these things are missed during the screening? It doesn’t seem to be at all standardized because the first place I called said that I needed to be there an hour early to take written tests and I found another that could get me in sooner and I didn’t do any written tests. Maybe the tests would have caught it? Anyways, i hope you find someone who is in your same situation and wish you the best of luck in your treatment.

    EatIng disorder

Currently in partial hospitalization for eating disorder treatment being classified as atypical anorexia. After being evaluated by two treatment teams and various outpatient specialists, I still feel very out of place in eating disorder treatment due to still being in a larger body. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Maybe you’re being more mindful because you know what awaits on the other side .. I too was losing weight more than usual. Granted I made adjustments like less bread, healthier swaps etc but I was just excited and more on it because i knew what was to come

    No coffee, seriously

Of all the restrictions, I think Coffee is the most onerous for me. Mostly because I don't understand it. I have searched the internet far and wide and do not understand why. I probably have more coffee in my blood than blood cells so it is going to be difficult. for me.

    No coffee, seriously

Pre-surgery and during surgery, caffeine slows healing. Once I was healed I always began coffee again. The benefits always outweigh the risks. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/9-reasons-why-the-right-amount-of-coffee-is-good-for-you

    No coffee, seriously

My dietician said to wean off caffeine before Surgery, so you don’t feel even worse afterwards. So I gradually reduced and was fine. My program is no caffeine for 3 months. I’m on week 11. I have been fine with just decaf, so I plan to not reintroduce it until I actually need the caffeine hit.

Update: I heard back from the surgery coordinator and they have submitted the prior authorization with a weight that has a BMI of about 43, so I'm cleared to lose weight again! Yay! Now, if only I hadn't bought that tub of ice cream...
