Getting used to different portion sizes. I still have a mental “seriously?!?” When I eat dinner and I’m done after like 3 bites. Physically I’m satisfied, mentally I’m not, if that makes sense. Mourning the loss of food as a treat or a reward. This is how I got into this mess in the first place, but doesn’t mean that I don’t still kinda wish I could deal with a bad day by ordering a huge pizza and buying an assortment of candy. Now I just have to deal with my feelings like a well adjusted adult or something? Not cool. (Joking....kinda)

    Hungry! Post op 2 weeks

Hello all! My surgery went well, not feeling any pain. I follow all directions for diet. I eat the 4oz of high protein puree food and not even 2 hours later, I am starving. I am drinking my water and getting the daily recommended 65 grams of protein. Is this normal? What to do to stop the hunger? I want to be successful in this. My GP happily wrote me a letter of reference that documented my own personal weight loss attempts and struggles with my weight over the years (I’d never been under a medical weight loss program before going to the Bariatric surgeon). Has your weight been a concern that was brought up to your GP before or possibly Gyno? Most are pro Bariatric and can help with this letter of reference.

    Weight loss stall

it's the infamous three-week stall. You just got it a little early. Almost everyone experiences that - if you do a search for it on this site, you'll find over 17,000 posts on it (and no, I am NOT kidding...). Mine was weeks 2 and 3. During week 4, it broke and I dropped something like 6-8 lbs in about two days. Just stick to your program and stay off the scale for a few days if you need to. It WILL break - they always do - and then you'll be on your way again.

I wouldn't have been allowed to progress that fast, but if your plan allows it, then who am I to say? Be careful, though. It takes real commitment to get to your goal, and a lot of people never make it. I would stick to my clinic's plan as closely as possible. The first few weeks and months are the easiest times to lose weight - it gets progressively harder the further out you get. Don't blow your big chance. There will be plenty of time to enjoy your favorite foods (in moderation, of course) later.

    Post Op Covid Vaccine

So I had my 1st dose of Pfizer just before my surgery. My only symptom with the first dose was some arm pain. I got my 2nd dose 2 days ago. I started to experience symptoms late Friday. Saturday around noon I had chills, fever of 101.3 and took some Tylenol and got sleep. I got up and checked again around 6pm and it was 103. I called in to check and they told me these symptoms can last for up to 72 hours. Today I am feeling and doing all better.
