I’d say that’s a good idea! I don’t know what kind of tests your doc requires, but I have to have an upper gi and scheduling was more than a month out. My surgeon told me it took even longer in the last few months because of covid, things are pretty back logged!

My surgery is May 19th but I already changed my diet on March 1st in preparation (we stay very low carb, low/no sugar as much as possible). So yeah, my closets and fridge have been cleaned out of all processed/boxed foods and junk that we don't need or shouldn't have. I've also begun the process of stocking my cabinets with Powerade Zeros, various protein drinks/flavors, got my food scale, child size utensils, containers.........the only things I have left to get are some sugar free Jello and Pudding, some bone broth, some flavorless protein powder, some sugar free popsicles and I think that's it. I even got my Biotene mouth spray and some extra chapstick for the hospital stay as others suggested. That, combined with what I already bought, should all get me through the first few weeks then I'll adjust or alter based on what I need/want from there. I feel well prepared, or at least I will be, over the next few weeks. As for how I feel, I'm just excited and ready to get it done and over with. As for the food, like I said, I've altered that over a month ago and had done this same thing in the past so I'm used to that and have no issues. I'm ready!!

Maybe not that healthy, but my wife and I did refried beans a few times during our soft stage.

    Hungry, stalled, and venting.

Thanks Lorey! I’m hoping it gets easier, for both of us. How are things going otherwise?

I'm late to ur post but maybe a newbie will see this....I saw a woman on youtube do this and I'm in nursing school and it makes perfect sense in regards to fluid & electrolyte levels....drink a 0 cal gatorade in the morning before you flush your body with a ton of water daily. It avoids headaches and fatigue [emoji177] Sent from my SM-G975U using BariatricPal mobile app

Welp, I have my surgery date. God willing, I will have my procedure on July 26, 2021. That gives me time to get ready and also have a little more tenure on my job (I just started in January). I paid my first 10% deposit today (fully-refundable as long as I give 30 days' notice of cancellation). The doctor warned me that my stomach might not be completely flat, it might retain some roundness, which made me laugh. I'm not expecting a six-pack or anything, I just want to get rid of some of this bulk! Just being able to put on a one-piece swimsuit without a skirt will be monumental!
