    Caffeine limits and guidelines

I agree with lizonaplane. At first glance I just read caffeine and thought about coffee or soda but they tablets may cause their own issues or they could be harmless. I would be certain to clarify.

    Slowing down weight loss

yeah who knew that losing TOO MUCH would ever be a concern but I'm coming up on my three-month anniversary of gastric sleeve. Have had no problems really at all ... Started at 280 with the two week pre-op diet and weighed 218 this morning. Never really stalled at all and am starting to wonder what's going to happen when I reach my weight target (190). I eat four meals a day but only 200-300 calories per meal so averaging around a 1000 cal/day. I swim 2-3 times a week and do yoga 2-3 times a week and I make sure I hit my protein goals every day. And am never really hungry. In fact my afternoon meals often leave me feeling like I ate too much. When I reach my goal how will I add calories? 1000 cal/day is not sustainable forever ... is it?

    Menstruation after VSG

a lot of women have screwed menstrual cycles (and some have mood swings, too) for the first few weeks or months after surgery. It does eventually stabilize and regulate. It's supposedly due to estrogen being released from fat cells due to the rapid weight loss.

    Lap-Band Experience

Thank you for your words and sharing your experience. I had my lap band fail and the Physician’s assistant basically told me it was because I wasn’t following the “protocols.” ... my band slipped when I got broccoli stuck.

    April surgeries

Just got my surgery date. Mine will be on the 28th and I only have to do one week of preop liquid diet. Nervous but excited to be joining the Losers Bench.

    SOS with post-op clothes!!

It might not work for you much longer, since the smallest size was 12, but gwinniebee.com has monthly rentals, like the old netflix, for clothes. You check out a few items then send them back when you want new things. There may be something like this for smaller sizes too. It's good quality stuff. I did it the last time I was losing weight and I enjoyed it. They provide the shippers and they wash the clothes.

    Post OP tip

See picture! so I went home on Easter Sunday and thought Premier Protein 1 gram of sugar , 160 calories, 30 protein fit all the requirements, although it did some requirements not all of them so with this surgery you must follow to the letter. the only one true protein shake that I needed was Ensure Max Protein Shake this is considered a clear protein shake and I have been able to tolerate it. the other one I poured a 1 ounce cup and sipped less than 1/4 of it and immediately my stomach did not tolerate it, kept coming back up my throat. so I hope this helps you guys when you are post OP, remember all protein shakes are not created equal.

Raw vegetables - which ones and when?

I was just warned about raw veggies during a video appointment with my dietician about waiting a while after surgery, and to enjoy them as much as I can leading up to it. When you guys say stuff doesn’t “sit well” could you possibly give any more description? Is it just like, nausea or indigestion? Or stomach cramps and the works? Just wanted to get an idea of what that may be like
