    Tracking Intake

I'm a gamer, so I use the Habitica app. I set my own goals including difficulty settings (I'm disabled/ fibromyalgia too) so I have tasks/ achievements for when I take my vitamins, have a protein shake, make my other protein goals, water intake, exercise etc. I get "experience" points and my character levels up, earns pets, mounts, items etc. I've just started using it and it's been a real help.

There are many WLS patients that do fine on just Tylenol post-op. I was one of them 😉. And you will lose! It is so worth it - you will feel so much lighter on your feet, and have much more energy than before.

    Clothes etc

So I'm 2 months post surgery and I just started going through some clothes. I'm purchasing some cheap and inexpensive "temporary" clothes as I anticipate losing more before working on building a new wardrobe. It does feel amazing but time to board the realism train here for a minute. I suspect most, if not all of us have lost and re-gained weight more than a couple times and we've been in this situation before. You throw away all your "fat" clothes and life is amazing and wonderful then one year later (arbitrary time frame) you find yourself back at the big and tall section. Now, I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but I'm also a realist. I've spoken with so many people that do in fact admit that surgery is merely a tool and a lot of folks do gain weight back even after something as drastic as what we've all gone through. As I continue to do the hard work of the mental aspect of your paths.... (just as all of you are doing) what are your thoughts on this subject? What goes through your minds when you are either boxing up old clothes and/or donating to Good Will? Some folks are mentally tougher than I am and perhaps this just doesn't cross their thoughts.

    Tracking Intake

What does everyone use to track their food and fluid intake? I am scheduled for 3 days from now and haven't found anything for tracking yet.

    Newbie

I feel you. My date is Feb 3 so I've started my 1 week pre op diet. I was not expecting it to be so difficult! I have been keeping full with the liquids and protein shakes but my cravings have been nonstop. I'm hoping it gets easier.

In the past, through dozens of diets, I always kept my big, fat clothes just in case. Now, I believe that philosophy reflected admitting I would likely fail. I’m 6+ months post-op and am I’m donating too-big clothes as I get smaller. It’s a great feeling! I really want to keep to the mindset that this new way of life is not just a diet.

    Did Anyone Regret Their surgery

I am so sorry you are going through this. Just so you know, is strangers support you! But maybe you should go to your support groups. I’m sure you can benefit from them.

    Flatulence

Well, I farted lots too, but mine definitely had a smell to them (you're lucky yours are odourless!!). I burped lots too. Eventually, the increased farting stopped, but the burping is still around (not as much as in the first months, but def much more than anyone else I know personally).
