here is to 2021!!! I live in a very small town and I am not much on social media. I have kept my WLS on the down low, not because I am ashamed but because I am not looking for support or BS from anyone. My husband we into town today to the local cafe (gossip central) to pick up eggs that I forgot to get on my regular grocery run and the old gal who runs the place announced to the whole joint, during the morning coffee run, how sorry she was to hear about my illness. My husband said "she is feeling good but I will tell her your thinking of her" she carried on to ask him how many rounds I would need. He replied " I believe this will do it". The word is I am going though chemo, LOL. I am not telling them any different......let them talk. Chemo or weight loss surgery regardless, I am getting thin!!!! LOL

    weight gain and Water intake?

I've been having a hard time with protein shakes in general. I cant keep them down. I do have high protein milk but don't drink that as often as I should. This whole process is a learning experience

got to have a sense of humor !

Gotta love any opportunity to do some role-playing. Next time you are there, just nod and smile wanly and maybe you can get free coffees for you and Mr. If not, then just a great story to tell later...lolololozzzz

Thank you for this. ❤️ I think I get anxious over the little stuff and I really, really want this to work. I had it built up in my head that it was going to awful with food for the first months and I guess when that didn't happen, I just kind of panicked. It sounds SO SILLY saying that out loud. Unremarkable is still great! Also, let me clarify that I cannot eat much. My pouch is small. Tiny portions fill me up (1-1.5 oz) and I have lost weight since surgery. It's just water that goes through quite easily.

I suggest calling your doctor ASAP. I would ask for a covid test just to be safe. They may want to do a chest xray also. I hope you are healthy. Well wishes to you!!

Welcome to the groups. I am excited too. My surgery is scheduled for Jan 12th. I am on my fun pre-op diet. I am on my 3rd day and it hasn't been fun. However, It is all going to be worth it in the end, which is actually only the beginning of our brand new journey of eating and living.. congrats

Hands and Feet are like ICE

I have the same issue. My hands and feet get painfully cold multiple times a day, even if I’m in a warm room with warm socks and slippers on. I keep a flannel bag of rice that I heat up in the microwave and use it to warm my hands and feet. Things like socks and mittens just do not work. For walking the dog, I have microwaveable hand warmers — and I know how far to walk based on my hand warmth...

    4 year Sleeve Anniversary

I had my Gastric Sleeve in November 2016. Starting weight 485 lbs. Current weight 220 lbs. To say it changed my life would be an understatement. If you are on the fence about having this surgery, take my word for it. It works!
