Hi Lily66! Good to hear from you. I suppose this makes sense. I am a little bummed by it though. I'll definitely speak to my nut and nurse practitioner about it.

    ONEDERLAND peeps!

Wow!! That's an amazing weight loss-holy cow. Yeah, trying on clothes is now the thing for real! I can't try them on in the store so I grab a size down here or there and say to myself I can eventually get into it, go home and it fits already. Even jeans are a pleasure to wear now (used to avoid them like the plague). Congratulations yourself!

    Weight lost 5weeks post op

Stalls happen along the way. Your body sometimes has to catch up with itself. I have hypothyroidism so my stalls are more frequent then the norm, but I literally have had so many I lost count. I'm actually in the middle of one right now that's lasted for 13 days so far. My last one was 15 days (my longest was 27 days) so I'm not worried, just irritated. Just keep with the plan and it'll pass.

NOTHING! You do not need to buy anything The bottom line is you have to use the tool to get healthy. A small Plate can not do it if you put COOKIES in it, I did not buy a single special thing and used what I have in house already. Now what you need to buy is healthy food, have a good plan, and master the art of Smoothies and Shakes. The key to this is you change in lifestyle not your change in plates and accessories. Ok that was harsh but a fact Now if you think buying all these gadgets will make you happy and successful for sure buy them, As for Meal prep You can get containers on Amazon if you do that kind of prep. I personally do not prep for myself but do prep for my kids who are on a insane work out and healthy fitness goal. I love to prep a meal - Chicken Asparagus and fruit and vacuum seal them for them. They just drop them in the Souse Verde open and done! So that may be a way for you to prep for days. For now Set the plan and goals then as you progress down the path get the system that works best for you. You will love this journey and welcome

    ONEDERLAND peeps!

Congrats and welcome to Onderland! It sounds like you and I are pretty similar in our starting stats. Though it sounds like you’re taller than me (going by what size you wear with what your weight is compared to what size I was in at that weight lol) keep up the great work! You’ll hit that goal in no time. I have about 30lbs until what’s considered “normal” weight

How long before I can enjoy a meal again?

Which surgery did you have? It sounds like you might have GERD. I would talk to your surgeon about it and see if meds can help?

    PACU and floor placement help

Yes this is true. The regular floors are being overrun. By Covid patients so they are keeping people separate on the recovery floors instead. Plus if you’re in NY this is the last week for elective surgery. Next week it will be shut down again. So my suggestion is go for it. I did.

    Intake quantity

Yes you'll be able to feel "full" quite quickly once on solids. But even then, don't wait for the full signal, keep your food quantity within 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup as prescribed by your nutritionist.

    Food amounts

I am in the “mushy” food stage and am unsure how much to eat. I have stuck to 2oz per meal. Are there others that have been eating more?
