I am officially at the lowest weight of my adult life as of this morning! I've got a bit to go to get to goal but I wanted to celebrate this win! 🎉

I love mine. I've had one since they first came out. The one I have now the Third Generation, which I've had for a couple years...I haven't felt the need to upgrade since (I think they are at the Sixth Generation now). *WARNING: this is long* Things I love: the regular health/activity stuff: activity tracker/heart rate monitor/flights climbed/ waterproof: can even track my swimming laps! can keep my phone in my purse/pocket as I get all my notifications on my watch...just pull it out when I need to remote control my phone's camera from a distance, for those wider angle group shots. can answer my phone on my watch if my phone is in another room (I don't do this often because I feel ridiculous talking to my wrist - a la star trek - but its handy for emergencies). Can also talk to Siri this way, but again, I feel stupid. Control phone's music (play, pause, select songs, etc)...esp handy when on runs the timer...i know this is a basic feature, but its probably the feature I used/use the most. It was especially useful when I was timing my bites back in my weight loss phase. Apple Pay from the watch. Durability. I don't know how many times I've banged the thing on stuff, and it still doesn't have a scratch on it...still looks like what it did when I got it out of the box. Things I'm not crazy about: Face Size. I initially had the bigger faced-one but even when I was obese, it looked so big on my my wrist. I can only imagine how the bigger one would look on me now. With that said, I have the smaller-faced one now, but my old-age-deteriorating eyesight is making it difficult to read. Wish the screen had a zoom function or something. In-the-box Band Size of the Sport Band: I have smallish wrists and I had to wear it on the second smallest notch (after I lost some weight) which resulted in all this extra band left tucked under. I did just get a smaller after-market one online, but its not as good quality as the original Apple Sport Band. Battery-life. I think alot of other smart watches can last 3-4 days on a single charge. Mine lasts about 24-30 hours. So I end up just putting it on the charger before I go to bed, so I have never been able to really try out the sleep monitoring function is has. Boo. On the bright side, it doesn't take long to charge it to an acceptable level (20-30 mins) if I happen to forget to charge one night. The "lift-wrist-to-wake" functionality is not 100% consistent (I'd give it maybe an 80-85%), and the opposite "tap-to-wake" function is sorta annoying (but works 100% of the time). This may have been addressed in later versions, though. It's not very pretty...especially when the screen off. I mean, it is a smart watch, so what do I expect, but I wish it looked more like a classic analog watch, or something.

    With is up

It's not the "weirdest damn thing", it's the effect of a refeed.

Oh, I forgot to add, I did like Gatorade Zero OK when I was newly post op. It didn't seem as sweet as some of the other things. Sent from my Nokia 7.2 using BariatricPal mobile app

I updated my old FitBit to the new Versa. Great sale on it at Costco! Also snagged some AirPods, which will be great for my walk/runs.

Hello, I feel your pain and yes I had RNY Sept 4th and was in terrible pain after surgery, but the good news it will get better. I promise you if you can keep it together for the next 30 days you will feel 100% better. Goodluck dear. Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app

I am so happy to see some fellow lap banders out there still fighting the good fight and sharing some positive stories. I've had my band since March 2008. I lost the majority of my weight in the first 6-9 months (from 200lbs down to 140lbs, i'm only 5'2") and managed to stay within a maintenance range for the past 12+ years, which included 2 pregnancies and a my fair share of fluctuations along the way. In the past year i have made some more habit changes that led me to drop another 20ish pounds leaving me at about 120-125lbs at 5'2". I have didn't have a physical adjustment (a fill), to get me there, as i've had good restriction for the last few years, but it was a mental adjustment that got me there for sure! I can totally relate to the feelings you're having about going back in for an adjustment, and especially to the situation where a lot of the members of my old practice had left. But the thing is, the lap band is ALL ABOUT ADJUSTMENTS! That's how our tool works! Going back in and checking on your band and seeing if you need an adjustment is the best thing you can do for yourself! And you know what, it will probably take more than one adjustment to get you to the right spot! And that is just fine! That's how it works with the band. In fact, they'll likely do a full check (complete with barium swallow) on how your band is looking and how your restriction is looking and that is a good thing too! We need to take care of our tool. An adjustment is probably just want you need...but don't forget to make it more than just a fill! Bring back some of the behaviors that led to succeed the first time around! Best of luck and hope to hear an update on how you're doing!

    Stopped Losing Weight

I have had the same issue. I lost 20 pounds in the first week after surgery, then after that I was just gaining and losing the same 5 pounds...then 3 pounds and now I'm just stalled. 24 pounds down for month 1. I am just now entering my second month and I log everything I eat and drink. I usually net about 400-600 cals a day. I started just walking a mile or 2 after dinner and it seemed to help, also I was not drinking enough water, so I've been making it a point to just keep a 40 oz bottle on hand and sip all day, and refill once more and sip all evening. I've been in this gain/loss/stall since Oct. 5th actually. But the inches are definitely coming off! Log everything, and eventually it will break the stall I think! I'm telling myself that everyday at least.

    Stopped Losing Weight

I am starting to log my food intake again since I moved on to the next stage. During the liquid stage I was not tracking my intake except for making sure I got enough protein. I am definitely not eating even close to 3500 calories a day. My primary care doctor thinks my body might just be in starvation mode, but I don't really know. I am getting 64 ounces of water every day and at least 60 grams of protein. I have contacted my surgery team several times already, but I am not getting much help. I have an appointment with the dietitian in 10 days, since the one that was supposed to be today somehow wasn't actually scheduled..
