    I'm Hungry are You?

Oh trust me I’m not decreasing my fluid intake but I need some serious sleep instead of being up every hour. No coffee, no food, no sleep. I’m a $$*)#@ ray of sunshine...4 more days..............

Overate A LOT and feel really sick

Ugh. I hate that feeling. I never can throw up anymore either... I just get the nasty mucus. I used to throw up pretty regularly before surgery since I am cursed w/migraines which come with nausea & my migraine med (imitrex) makes me even more sick.. now I can NOT puke, even if I feel like I need to. The only thing that makes me feel better - is to lay down and sleep/rest... usually subsides in about 2 hours. (Before surgery - when I ate too much.. I'd just be uncomfortable for 15 minutes and be fine). Hope you feel better soon.. Just take it easy for the rest of the day.

    Stopped Losing Weight

I have had the same issue. I lost 20 pounds in the first week after surgery, then after that I was just gaining and losing the same 5 pounds...then 3 pounds and now I'm just stalled. 24 pounds down for month 1. I am just now entering my second month and I log everything I eat and drink. I usually net about 400-600 cals a day. I started just walking a mile or 2 after dinner and it seemed to help, also I was not drinking enough water, so I've been making it a point to just keep a 40 oz bottle on hand and sip all day, and refill once more and sip all evening. I've been in this gain/loss/stall since Oct. 5th actually. But the inches are definitely coming off! Log everything, and eventually it will break the stall I think! I'm telling myself that everyday at least.

    How do you Cope?

Walk in nature for stress, especially by a beach or water (lake/river), you can try mediation, not sure when you had surgery but yoga 🧘‍♀️ Do fun things not involving food - paint rocks, watch a movie, put a puzzle together, listen to music and dance, ride bike.

    Feeling so hungry today

Hi Joanne - I' 6 days post op and feel like I've been hungry since day 3! My program has me on clear liquids until my 1st post op appointment which is 8 days post op. I am so hungry, and it's definitely not head hunger, it's real hunger. I can't tell you how excited I am to move to the full liquids stage. I don't need to feel full, I just don't want to be hungry.:) I'm hoping other people who have gotten a sleeve and are further out can confirm that being hungry in the beginning is normal for some people!

    Stomach pain

This ^. Your insides will take about 4-6 weeks to heal. Your soft tissues are still "knitting" together properly and you may have some small adhesions that are sorting themselves out.

    Stopped Losing Weight

If you want to start losing weight again.... It's pretty simple. 1) stary under a 1000 cals a day (i don't know where someone said 3500, that's ridiculous). 2) Plan your meals 3) Portion your meals before it hit the plate. 4) ONLY eat what is on the plate, never go back for more. 5) log your food (like many have said). 6) Only eat at the table, if you eat in front of the tv or in a car you will over eat. 7) NEVER eat and drink. 😎 Move Move Move......

    I'm Hungry are You?

Whether folks survived it or not it’s still really hard and we get to whine about it. Giving up coffee has been the worst!! I remember missing Diet Pepsi with my band years ago but it went away after a while and I never touched it again. I think I will have a harder time with straws. I sit here with my hydro flask and drink all day from the straw lid. right now I’m a bit burnt out on sweet...protein drinks, protein water, jello...broth only gets you so far. But soon this part will be over. you just have a few days to go! Sending you super positive thoughts! 🥰

Hungry and not even a full week yet?

I am exaclty one week post op and I was surprised and disappointed to be hungry within this time span. It's easy to fix it; I'll have some broth typically it I'm between meals. But it's definitely hunger. I'm already taking Prilosec so I know it isn't stomach acid. You are not alone. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    November 2020 sleevers

I start my 2 week pre-op diet on the 20th. It is all liquids and two snacks (an egg or yogurt). My birthday is on the 25th. This year will be booze and cake free. I am celebrating a new me! I can't wait until Nov 3. That is the first day of my new life.
