Will probably get slammed for this one... But... My birthday was exactly 1 month after my sleeve and I had a drink. Just one and I mixed Vodka with Diet Cranberry. Honestly, I was surprised that I didn't want more than one since I was a somewhat heavy drinker before surgery. It's very strange to me as someone who really enjoyed social drinking that I now prefer water over anything else.

Only chewable antacids? Nothing more effective on a script? Perhaps its time to see your surgeon or doctor. In the meantime are you sleeping on an incline? It may help along with ensuring no food 2 to 3 hours before bed.

I am going to Vegas in 2 weeks, I’m not a drinker but I’m sure I will want to enjoy some drinking. When is it ok to drink? I had surgery 7/14

    Clothes during Weight Loss

I bought two pairs of jeans on ebay for about $40 for both -- bought them to fit tight, so they'd loosened up after wearing them during the day & so they'd fit for awhile. You can go to Walmart & get tshirts (both long sleeve & short sleeve) for around $5. I've read people also shop at Goodwill or thrift shops to get cheap clothes. For workout gear - I went to TJ Maxx, Marshalls & Ross.

it's pretty common after any major surgery, and especially this one since your calorie intake is so low. It'll probably last a few weeks, but will get gradually get better and better....

Stall are quite common anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks out, and again many times as you progress through the first year. Assuming you are following the post op guidelines set by your surgeon or dietician you will be fine, weight loss will catch up again soon. It's a good time to set some non scale goals to focus on. If you are concerne though you may want to check in with your dietician.

It more or less happens to everyone. I had surgery on 6/2 and my hair is falling out like crazy too. It should stop before the year mark.

    Linzess

I so understand your issue. Suffered with it myself. I tried fiber pills, softeners, and all kinds of other things. My Dr. gave me Linzess and it worked very well. I suffered no side effects, except it pushed me a bit too far the other way. I was so happy to not be constipated anymore that I just put up with it for quite a while. I am now on Amitiza. same type thing, but it doesn't seem to push me the other way. I would guess it is just something you have to try. But I am much happier to be rid of that particular problem.

I Can't Believe Im This Damn Broke....

I'm with Dr. Rodriguez and am financing. My credit is pretty crappy, I had a bankruptcy a few years ago and a high debt to income ratio. I got approved, with $2500 down and will pay for the remaining $6000 monthly for 2.5 years. I figure I'll get it paid off, and then do the same thing for plastics if I need to. I am uninsured, and am working a temp job. I went through beliteweight.com, and they approved me right away. I can't say if they will approve you or not, but it's worth a try, and their paperwork is VERY legit, they don;t charge a huge financing fee, and it's giving me an opportunity to get on with my life that I wouldn't have otherwise. Pair with that the facte that he is an amazing surgeon, working out of a first class hospital, and it's a no brainer! I wish you luck!
