    Chinese food

Like Matt said, chicken, beef, or shrimp with vegetables is good, or egg foo young sauteed instead of deep fried and with very little sauce. I eat dim sum quite a lot, too, the steamed options. I can manage about 4 and I'm done.

I don't miss everyone looking at me when I board a plane and thinking, "I hope the fat guy doesn't sit next to me."

G'day, all. I'm almost 6 weeks out, and the weight loss is going very well. I'm down 29# and about 2 sizes. My 18yo daughter is so excited for me, and so is my husband! She points out changes in my body, from "I can fit my arms around you to hug all of you now!" to "Your knees look different!" I am so blessed to have them behind me in this journey. Just a few negatives right now -- I still have to have a BIG nap (2+ hours) almost every day. I hope that improves soon. Also, just today, I'm having some nausea. I decided to go back to pureed food for a day to see if that helps, and it does a little bit. I'd love to hear from anyone else who has had exhaustion and/or nausea at 6 weeks . . . although overall this is SO worth it! Best of luck to everyone. This is not an easy journey, but by the grace of God, we'll all get through it!

Just wait it out... it will feel better.. It took me like 2 hours to feel better after overeating in the beginning. I rarely overeat now, but I did tonight and I am paying for it now.. just laying down waiting for the pain to subside.

    Exercise for loose skin

I’ve got to be honest, there is no exercise for loose skin. If someone has lost a little bit of weight and has no muscle tone, they could gain a little muscle to push out the skin. But for significant weight loss, skin and exercise are completely separate issues. Unless someone is quite young or won the DNA lottery of skin, there will be loose skin. I’m not trying to be Debbie downer, but those are scientific facts and I hate for people to spend a lot of time and money on things that won’t work (and there are people who will lie for their own reasons, including the beauty industry trying to make money). I wish that weren’t so (but I spent $20,000 on surgery because it is). But there is still looseness on my lower legs and arms that surgery can’t fix. It is just part of the journey. I don’t normally do this, but I’m going to attach a before and after picture of my arm surgery (after my 100 lb loss 7 years ago). There is nothing that would’ve fixed that skin but surgery. 🙇🏼‍♀️

    Is McDonalds gone for good?

Fast Food/Junk Food addict here are well. Not when it comes to fast food restaurants or delivery foods - but in my own home. See some meals in the food pictures thread, lol. I use meat substitutes way too often.

    Feeling so weary

During my two week pre-op diet I literally had no energy. I worked and that was about all I did during those two weeks. I was afraid I would feel like that post-op too, but my energy levels really did shoot up after week one of post-op. It was actually shocking how much energy I suddenly had. Loving it!

I won’t miss “losing” the remote and then finding it under me when I stand up.

Things I won't miss about being fat!

Sweating (I’m perfectly climate-controlled now). Hiding from cameras (I loooove getting my pic taken, like ALL. THE. TIME.) Snoring (I dont notice this, but Mr. is quite happy) Packing a sh*t-ton of clothes whenever I leave the house for vacation or a day trip (Now, everything I need fits in my purse) Being tired/winded at the tiniest exertion (I’ve got energy for DAYS) Feeling shy/uncomfortable/self-conscious (i have so much confidence now its quite disgusting)
