    Maintenance?? Is it really possible?

yes. This is the first time in my adult life that I've actually been able to maintain a loss (I'm five years out and have been in maintenance for 3.5 years) not gonna lie - it's a daily struggle - I still plan my eating for the day every morning (or the night before), log my food intake, and try to stay within my maintenance calorie range (which for me is 1500-1700 per day - but that's going to vary for everyone). It's a hassle but it's do-able. I NEVER could maintain a weight loss before I had WLS. I should add that most of us gain 10-20 lbs after we hit our lowest weight. It's not inevitable, but it seems to happen to the majority, for whatever reason. I shot up 12 lbs in year 3, and then another eight pounds last summer & fall (I'm in the process of dealing with the recent eight-lb gain. I have no desire to go back to my lowest weight, which I think was too low for me). But keeping the weight off is do-able if you monitor yourself and, as someone above said, see this as your new lifestyle rather than another diet.

    Feeling no pain

Day 4 here and I'm taking slow sips. I get pain after drinking too quick. Like a rising painful burp, which I'm use to. Other than that, some pain on incision, ab area. Like when I'm rising out of bed.

    I can’t wait...

The simple things in life are not always so simple to get. These are great goals.

at 5'5" you can come up to 150 and still be at a normal BMI. The ranges are pretty wide, though...frame size and amount of muscle can make a big difference on where on your range you look best.

    Sept. Surgery @ Blossom

Just got home from my trip/surgery @ Blossom. Short flight for me. On the way home, I recommend taking your anti nausea pill 1 hour before you board and a pain pill 30 minutes before you board. That worked perfectly for me, I was quite comfortable on the way home. There is a Target a short Uber ride from the hotel. They have tons of varieties and flavors of protein drinks. Also a whole aisle of travel toiletries if you’d rather not pack those. If you feel a little rough directly after surgery when you get back to your hotel room, don’t despair...5-6 hours after your surgery a nurse comes to the hotel to give you an IV of fluids, anti nausea medication, and pain medication. It works wonders on your comfort level within an hour. Nice hotel with great staff but they only clean the room every 4 days....the trash cans are small and so people pile trash in the hall. Really a shame for such a nice place, but there’s no where to dump it yourself. Just request that they clean your room daily, and they will.

    Arm Lift Experiences?

Following this thread as I've thought about arm lift and/or thigh lift for round 2 someday, but am also concerned that I'm just trading flab for a scar and that I won't have a great result. Ever see the Shark Tank episode with "Skinnies" which were stickers for an instant arm or thigh lift. My guess is they don't work, but I wish that technique would work for surgery, pulling it all up without the vertical incision. I'm great at pulling my skin up, just don't have anywhere to put it. LOL!

    Arm Lift Experiences?

I can't remember if I had the crepe-y-ness or not. I did have bat wings, though. Here are some before and after of my arms. The "after" were taken two months after surgery, so there'd be more scarring and swelling there than there is now - although it looks like it's pretty minimal in these pictures, actually.... (UPDATE: I did see one photo where I could see crepe-y arms (in the before) - but it wasn't too bad. I don't have an after one that shows that it's gone, but I definitely know I don't have that anymore. So yes - it took the crepe away!)
