    STOP MAKING EXCUSES

To Mikey’s credit he has been consistent with his attitude for a year now. Always a bit self centered and very matter a fact. Very much his way is right yours is wrong. A bit of a narcissist. He went from an awkward fat man to a confident skinny man. Outside of the WLS community this behavior is called being a d**k.

    STOP MAKING EXCUSES

It's just ridiculous. This need to brag almost continuously also comes across quite pathetic.

    STOP MAKING EXCUSES

Wow, no-one will ever need weight loss surgery any more! I wish I'd read this post years earlier, it would definitely have fixed my years of struggle with weight gain and loss, and eating disorders. Seriously though, tough love DOES NOT WORK. I'd have thought the fact that we have all needed weight loss surgery is a clue to that. My eating disorder was not something I could out think, fix with a diet or just white knuckle through with willpower. If you made the mental decision and that was all it took, why get surgery???

    Let’s talk pain level.

I had difficulties & pain on swallowing for the first couple of days after surgery due to swelling. My back then went into spasm due to the tension I was holding. But as to surgery pain I had very little. Was easily managed in hospital. First day home I took one of the strong prescribed pain killers in the morning, the second day home was a single over the counter pain med & then nothing else. I don’t think I even needed those. I didn’t even have gas pain (very appreciative of that after hearing about the experiences of others). Good luck with your surgery.

    So thankful for this surgery

I had bypass surgery 9 days ago and already down 16 lbs!!!! I'm so glad I did this. Was this just a lucky week for me or can I expect to lose this much weight each week for the first couple of months? Sent from my LM-V405 using BariatricPal mobile app

Congratulations! I hope I get a similar kind of call in about 5 months. Haha. Well, minus the pee and the splits. 😉
