Doing really well with my protein today, especially since it is my first day with full liquids. I am at 32g so far and plan to try to get a shake in tonight for dinner, which will take me up to 60-ish g. No problems with getting my water. I am always thirsty and just keep sipping. I will probably be close to 80 oz water by the end of the day. I did go for a short 15 minute walk. I can assure I did not set any land speed records with my 23 minute mile pace. Lol. Looking forward to feeling better each day. Meow, I am impressed with you eating chicken and the soup sounds amazing. I can’t wait for purées, next week and then off to mushies. I want some baked tofu when I get to mushies at day 14. @MaybeMeow, this weight stall WILL pass. You are doing the right stuff. Your body just needs to catch up. 😜

A sleeve costs around £12,000 in the UK (approx $15,200) and I'm paying £4000 to have it done in the Czech Republic. It was going to be even cheaper in Turkey at just over £3000 but the aftercare and surgeon in Prague made me feel a lot more reassured.

She made it! Welcome to the other side. Now the fun REALLY begins. Glad to hear you're doing well. The first week post op is by far the hardest. Just power thru!! ONWARD!!!

    Sept. Surgery @ Blossom

I only had an hour flight home. But they will give you compression stockings to wear and will tell you to get up and walk some during the flight. I asked them bc I was nervous about 1 hour- they said I didn't have to walk on that a short of a flight, but that they tell their patients with longer flights to walk. I would recommend that you try to get a bulkhead seat or emergency row - extra leg room which I found helpful. Good luck, I loved my experience there! Exercise for loose skin

That is really unkind. you've lost weight and gotten healthier. I'm sorry they aren't being more supportive, you have so much to be proud of! be kind to yourself.

What do you wish you had known

I wish I would have been told about: (1) the post-op nausea and constipation, (2) how sore my throat and esophagus would be, (3) how I would not progress to pureed foods as soon as others, (4) how my liquid intake should be 4 ounces, slipped remarkably slowly, (5) how I could not possibly down 64 ounces of water and protein right away, even when sipping at 4 ounce increments throughout the day, and (5) how I should have initially purchased liquid vitamins and patches rather than chewable ones, because I could not swallow them.

    Stall-B-Gone

Like Chix said, this is the famous 3 week stall. For me, my weight loss slowed drastically but didn't stop during that period. Soon you'll find you lose 5 pounds in a couple days and then a pound a day until you hit another stall around 8 weeks and then another around 3 months lol. It sucks but we have to get used to it, it's part of the process.
